Dahleen Glanton: Why Donald Trump's war with the media is bad for America
It's tough being a journalist these days. This week alone, I've been called a "biased, hypocritical racist," an "ugly American" and a "dumb baboon."
One reader emailed that calling myself a journalist is "like the garbage man calling himself a refuse disposal technician." (Actually, I don't see anything wrong with that.)
Someone else suggested that I was merely flattering myself by calling myself a journalist. Real journalists, he said,
