Four-Day School Weeks Are a Big ‘Screw You’ to Working Parents

Working parents are affected after school district in Colorado cuts back to four days a week.

As many schools across the country cut down to half-days for kindergartners and other money-saving measures, one Colorado district said, “Hold my beer.”

Instead, the Brighton-based School District 27J announced plans students. Beginning in August, kids in the area will no longer have to report for school on Monday mornings. The move has kicked off a fierce nationwide debate and has understandably upset more than a few working parents in the district.
