WORK IS DEVELOPMENT*

There are times when personal experience keeps us from reaching the mountain top and so we let it go because the weight of it is too heavy. And sometimes the mountain top is difficult to reach with all our resources, factual and confessional, so we are just there, collectively grasping, feeling the limitations of knowledge, longing together, yearning for a way to reach that highest point. Even this yearning is a way to know.

Peace and success due to the ordering forces in Creation: ‘Thus the conditions for a life of happiness are not nearly so difficult to fulfil as it appears at first glance to those who have only part-knowledge! Happiness is much easier to achieve than many think! But it is first necessary for mankind to know the laws which rest in Creation. If they live accordingly then they must become happy!’ In the Light of Truth – The Grail Message (Lecture: Sex) by Abd-ru-shin (Oskar Ernst Bernhardt 1875–1941)

Many people feel chronically insecure in the world of work or in their professional lives. Should they align themselves with their environment, resign themselves to the status quo and constantly put aside the quiet warning of the inner voice – the conscience? Should one, for example, be silent if co-workers make disparaging remarks about an absent colleague? How does one deal with abusive situations, harassment or other nasty events? How does one react to extortionate wages or the dismissal of an older employee?

Having to witness such unwelcome developments causes unrest, perhaps even rage and anger. Many people in the workforce exist in a state of permanent inner conflict between the external realities of the workplace and their own inner voice of conscience.

In such situations, contemplation of the Cosmic Laws brings a helpful orderliness and clarification.

Primordial Cosmic Laws are nothing but a comprehensive concept for all those forces which are deeply woven into Creation and have varied effects, not only in nature but also in human life. They open up a completely new way for the inner and outer adjustment to the employed person, even in difficult situations and hostile surroundings. The following words from the Grail Message ring out like a promise:

‘If only you adjust yourselves aright this power will forcibly bring sunshine and happiness into your lives.’ (Lecture: Servants of God)

But how can we ‘adjust ourselves aright’ as is demanded?

He who mindfully observes nature and life can recognise that the whole ‘world’ is permeated by immutable operating principles, which can be investigated and recognised as fundamental laws of nature. These natural laws also determine human life. Their mode of operation can also be experienced impressively in occupational life, especially the effects of the laws of reciprocal action and attraction of homogeneous species, as well as the cosmic law of movement, which calls for continual development. By applying these principles, which, acting together, embrace the entire spectrum of human life, to one’s own situation, they are able to impart to the individual the longed-for independence and often also point out a way to resolve conflicts.

‘You can’tdifferent circumstances, a correspondingly good repercussion, because the human being remains connected with his works as if with an invisible umbilical cord, whereby the personal intentions, the inner motives, the intensity of the thoughts and emotions play a crucial role in the formation of this connection through attraction. Whoever is always ready to help others without thought of reward or self-serving motivation, makes room within himself for a pure readiness to help and is thereby connected with corresponding power-centres of love and helpfulness in a living manner, so that help can also return to him when he is in need of it. But he who lets himself be motivated by rejection, aggression, an exaggerated sense of entitlement, calculation, hatred or envy may not expect love, exactly as in nature: He who sows thistles may not hope for roses!

Currents Of Life
The human being of our time finds himself in a state of torpor or congealment. Either he is hardened in terms of perception, chained to a wrong idea, or he is too complacent to learn to think logically again – logically not in an intellectual sense,
