CHICAGO - An untimely malfunction in the old center-field scoreboard wasn't a high priority during Monday's Yu Darvish-Jake Arrieta matchup at Wrigley Field.
Fans sitting near me down the first-base line barely seemed to notice the board was out for the first few innings, and it certainly didn't matter to fans watching on TV, which updates balls and strikes instantly.
