Brooke Walker: A voice for the voiceless

People have cried looking at Brooke Walker’s paintings. Even viewing them on a small laptop screen, they are deeply moving and it’s not hard to understand that seeing them in the flesh could bring one to tears.

Her exquisite mastery of technique is awe inspiring but it’s her ability to give a voice to the voiceless that sounds the deepest chords. Although most of her work depicts animals and birds, and may appear to refer to endangered species, to call Brooke a ‘wildlife
