    The book is half explanation and half cookbook. The diet is simple and easy to follow. My doctor put it this way: "No sugar, no white potatoes, no white bread, no white pasta, and no white rice." With that advice, I was able to keep my Type II diabetes under control without medication.

    An older book on the GI diet, half explaining how it works and the other half with recipies, some from Restaurants.

    The tone of this book was a little judgy which made it difficult to get through. I'm not sure I found the content to be as helpful as I was looking forward to.

    The book contains good advice and alogical explanation. The diets differs from similar diets by including milk, butter, and fats. It excludes white rice, potatoes, and pasta. As in the case of most diets the book includes testimonials without hypothesis based clinical studies.
