About this audiobook
The groundbreaking New York Times bestseller featuring five uniquely effective tools to help you embrace your shadow, learn the secret of true confidence, and bring about dynamic personal growth—as seen on Goop and The Dr. Oz Show
The Tools offers a solution to the biggest complaint patients have about therapy: the interminable wait for change to begin. The traditional therapeutic model sets its sights on the past, but Phil Stutz and Barry Michels employ an arsenal of techniques-"the tools"-that allow patients to use their problems as levers that access the power of the unconscious and propel them into action. Suddenly, through this transformative approach, obstacles become opportunities-to find courage, embrace discipline, develop self-expression, deepen creativity.
For years, Stutz and Michels taught these techniques to an exclusive patient base, but with The Tools, their revolutionary, empowering practice becomes available to every reader interested in realizing the full range of their potential. The authors' goal is nothing less than for your life to become exceptional-exceptional in its resiliency, in its experience of real happiness, and in its understanding of the human spirit.

Reviews for The Tools

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What's really great about this book is the detail provided in using and applying 'the tools'. I'd describe this book a practical - not beautifully written, but very useful.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I just skimmed it but the lessons are provocative. How to face fear, how to express your inner authority, bringing love into your life. As the authors point out, it is difficult to keep practicing the exercises. Perhaps I'll pick up the book again for refreshing.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Everyone needs to read this. Extremely relevant and even merrily thinking about some of these methods has helped so far.....
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5As with many self-help books, there are practical approaches to becoming your best self in this book. The authors almost dare you not to experience growth using these tools. Of course, they are only good if they get used. I am doing my best to use at least one tool daily to keep them top of mind. I like their practicality, ease of use and immediate gratification. The results are not profound yet, but I do feel more inspired throughout my day.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Do yourSelf a favor. Live this book!
