About this audiobook

Unrequited love is hard enough when you’re a normal teenage girl, but for mermaid Lily Sanderson, there’s no such thing as a simple crush.

Lily has a secret, and it’s not her huge crush on gorgeous swimming god Brody Bennett, who makes her heart beat flipper-fast. Lily’s mermaid identity is a secret that can’t get out, since she’s not just any mermaid—she’s a Thalassinian princess.

When she discovered three years ago that her mother was actually a human, Lily finally realized why she didn’t feel quite at home in Thalassinia, and she’s been going to Seaview High ever since.

Living on land has its problems—like her obnoxious biker-boy neighbor, Quince Fletcher—but it has that one major perk: Brody. The problem is, mermaids aren’t really the casual dating type—when they bond, it’s for life.

When Lily’s attempt to win Brody’s love leads to a case of mistaken identity, she finds out, quick as a tailfin flick, that happily ever after never sails quite as smoothly as you planned.

FORGIVE MY FINS was my first encounter with Tera Lynn Childs' writing, but it won't be my last. FMF is a cute read and great for a lazy summer afternoon... or cold winter day when you need a fun, vibrant world to escape into.Mermaids will always be one of my favorite mythical creatures. I know I wasn't the only little girl to dream of one day discovering my mermaid heritage. Alright, so maybe I just wanted to have a cool tail and wear a shell-bikini... and fall in love with a cute human boy ala The Little Mermaid. Understandably, I was drawn to Childs' modern twist on this classic love story. The novel doesn't delve too deeply into the detail of being a merperson, but it definitely covers the romantic aspects of the story.I liked Quince immediately, but I never really connected with Lily's character. She was too shallow and simple for my tastes: I like my female leads to have sass and wit. Since I liked Quince, but found Lily lacking, their romance lost some of it's punch. Still, Quince was absolutely adorable and I found myself rooting for him and urging Lily to open her eyes and see the amazing boy that's standing right in front of her! Despite the fact that this novel was completely predictable, I enjoyed the ride. Childs appears to have a knack for writing those silly, sappy scenes that you sometimes daydream about. Like being marooned on an island with a cute boy and having to sleep together to conserve heat. I think I can safely say that we all have had some version of that daydream! Because of this, Childs' writing is strangely comforting.

Okay. Love Quincy, but i think their romance was a little too fast... If you like mermaids you will love it!

FORGIVE MY FINS, by Tera Lynn Childs, is a remarkable story of a teenage mermaid princess living on land and the unwanted trouble she finds herself in.I absolutely adored this book. Lily is an extremely likable, and quite romantically naive, half human half mermaid. For as much as she tries to fit in, she sits comfortably in the middle class social spectrum of high school. Her next door neighbor, Quince, keeps her on her human toes with his antics and sarcasm, masking his obvious feelings for her.The magical mermaid aspect of this book was believable and exceptional. When Quince and Lily are accidentally bonded together, Childs took me on a journey underwater that made me want to jump into the pages and swim with them. In the world that Childs created, mermaids were not so different from humans. Food, clothes, and shelter were made from whatever was found in the sea and I felt immersed in this amazing world. Also, Lily's vocabulary was sea-related and at times hilarious. Even above water she stayed true to her mermaid self. The relationship between Lily and Quince was no easy one. I felt Lily was delusional about her feelings for Brody and I yearned for her to realize what was right in front of her. I found myself biting my nails each time Lily and Quince' bond was in danger of being severed because I felt they were so right for each other.I won't ruin too much of the plot because I think you should experience this wonderful book for yourself!

Forgive my Fins started off slighly rocky, with Childs taking the cheese factor to pretty great heights. Sayings like 'son of a swordfish' and 'fraidy-fish' had me rolling my eyes frequently. Luckily, though, things get considerably better. Once past the cringe inducing use of phrases and into the meat of the story, it was difficult to put the book down. This story would definitely be appropriate for even young teens, but would also be a great, light, beach read for older kids. Overall, I enjoyed it, even though it felt a bit young for my usual tastes.

I like the cover's colors, the title writing...but I'm just not wild about the "face" on the cover...not that she's not pretty, but it's just...I don't know...I'm just not fond of it..although I like her makeup and hair..so, I'm kind of iffy about it

    Book Review

    4.5/5

The book in itself was really good...But nothing I would go screaming about from the roof-tops. It's more of a 'Little Mermaid-ish' but for teens but with a bit of a twist..even the 'Little Mermaid' was mentioned..And I kind of had to agree...lol.. (I would say it was written more for 6-8 graders..maybe as early as 4th grade)..It's a sweet story and had you wanting to know what happened to them, and how they got to where they were..

And of course, there's a cliff hanger, which makes you want to know what happens next. So, more than likely, I will be going on to the next book...just to see what happened. It's another book that I have to say that I was iffy about because my first thought was...Mermaids? Really? Well, let me see how I fee about this one

The obsession she had for one guy kind of got on my nerves...And I wanted to smack her a few times...but I guess at her age, it can be kind of understandable that you "obsess" over a crush..I guess we all had SOME kind of form of it over a crush..but eventually, we kind of move on and get over it and learn as we grow older. And I will stop here before I give away the rest of the story. It is worth looking into and trying to read if you love mermaids and anything underwater, mixed in with a blossoming romance & not the insta-love. :-)

It's a mermaid book! And I started reading it while taking a bath, AND the book starts with the narrator taking a bath! Like, oh-em-gee. Okay. The story flew by, thanks to simple storytelling. But Lily, the half-human/half-mermaid narrator, is totally annoying and deluded. The story was so-so, but delivers a pretty good message for teens about unrequited love. Princess Lily, daughter of a sea king, wants to explore her human mother's world and enrolls in high school. To maintain her royal status, she must become "bonded" (the mer equivalent of marriage) by her eighteenth birthday, which is coming up pretty quickly. But she's got it all under control, since she's had her mate picked out since she set foot on land three and a half years ago. After spending most of high school admiring her crush from afar, Lily is running out of time and must act now! After a mix-up on land Lily finds herself in a bit of a jam, and must retreat beneath the waves to get the problem resolved. I loved the underwater scenes, though they did demand a LOT of suspension of disbelief from me. Am I getting old and jaded when it comes to young adult fantasy? No, I don't think so. There are some other books that do it better, but I recognize the effort here. Though I think this is the first mermaid book I've read where quite a bit of the action takes place underwater. Overall, I was satisfied with the book. It was a fun, refreshing, light-hearted read. And bonus points for all the ocean-related slang that Lily uses.

Perhaps a bit campy at times, but I loved the main character and her quirks, and really enjoyed the story as well particularly when it veered from expectations.

Forgive My Fins did not quite catch my fancy as expected, but all in all, it was quite a charming read if one is looking for bubbly fun. I could tell Tera Lynn Childs had a whale of a time with all the sea-themed quips and giggles - and after finishing such a read, I cannot help but roll with the puns as I type this review. Even horrible as they must be to you, my finless Readers.Yet, as fun as Lily's aquatic phrases were, the story itself didn't sizzle and spark and all that good stuff. I wanted a little more tension within the love triangle between Lily, Brody, and Quince - it almost got to that delicious point, but then backed off too soon for me to get 110% committed to the characters. As far as characters go, Quince was by far my favorite. Misunderstood, overlooked, but absolutely irresistible and charming.I'm debating whether or not I want to read the sequel Fins Are Forever when it comes out, but I think I probably will to find out how sweet the story ends - and to see if Quince gets uber-hotter :)Compared to oh.my.gods. (review here), Forgive My Fins follows the same vein of funness of Tera Lynn Child's debut series, but without the Greek mythiness which might have colored my reaction since I am quite partial to the myths.

Seventeen year old Lily has a secret that no one knows: she's actually a mermaid princess living among humans. Her mother was half human, so she wants to learn about about that side of her. It also helps that she thinks Brody, swim team stud and super hot guy, is the love of her life. She plans to eventually kiss him, which will bind them together and allow him to take whatever form she takes. Unfortunately Quince, her super annoying next door neighbor, is constantly in the way and ruins everything by kissing her. Now Quince and Lily are bound together and she has to go to her father to separate them before the bond becomes permanent.I've read and enjoyed most of Tera Lynn Childs' Sweet Venom series plus mermaids are awesome, so I decided to try out this series. It turned out to be a cute, very fluffy book with an unlikeable protagonist and a weak plot. I would have liked Lily if she didn't interact with anyone expect her best friend. She has an odd style, a quirky personality, and is generally an ok person. When the boys come into the picture she becomes insufferable. She considers Brody the love of her life even though she barely knows the guy. When he's around, no one else exists and she becomes completely self absorbed. When Quince is around, she is irrationally horrible to him and gets so angry at the slightest things. He's actually really nice to her and clearly has feelings for her. He is a better person than me because if someone treated me that horribly, I would have given up a long time ago. I also found it annoying that she felt no responsibility or duty towards her undersea kingdom at all and she was willing to give it up for someone she doesn't even know. I just couldn't sympathize with her at all and found her whiny and generally insufferable. Ugh.I also didn't like that Lily had to be bound to someone before her eighteenth birthday to able to rule her kingdom. Really? It asserts that her relationship defines her as a competent ruler, which is ridiculous. All the characters aren't well written and don't have any dimensions. There's no subtly to the writing at all. If you are looking for a brain candy type book that doesn't require a lot of brain activity, this is the read for you.

FORGIVE MY FINS (Katherine Tegan Books at HarperTeen) is the story of Lily, a girl from Thalassinia -- the mermaid kingdom off the coast of Florida. She's not just any girl either, she's a princess, daughter of the king and heir to the throne. But being half-human, she's embracing her land-lubbing side and attending high school where she falls in love with Brody, a friend from journalism class. Lily doesn't think she's all that pretty with her wildly frizzy blonde hair and freckled face. That hasn't stopped obnoxious neighbor-boy Quince from harassing her for as long as she's known him. And when Quince tries to do Lily a favor and ends up setting off a series of events that Lily considers life-ruining, the romantic drama is more than enough to drown in. FORGIVE MY FINS is irresistibly cute, with sweet romance and a fun mythology, a perfect beach read or a great book to curl up with in bed on a warm summer night.

Forgive my fins is an amazing story full of intrigue-and an everyday type of girl-crush. But Lily Sanderson knows the consequences if she kisses Brody-she's bonded for life. And when Quince Fletcher, her archenemy, kisses her while she is waiting for Brody because of Quince's brilliant plan, she's shocked. And when she runs back home, she reaizes that Quince is already turning Mer. Or into a merman, to be exact. This story is about a girl obsessed with a boy with charecteristics that he doesn't have, which is Brody. And as Quince tries to tell Lily how much he loves her and how they should be together, she tells her Father to sever the bond anyway, and despair falls unto her life. But will there be a happy ending? This is an amazing book full of emotion and life. It's an great read!

I didn't know mermaids could be repeatedly dropped on their heads as babies. I mean, that's clearly what must have happened to Lily. She's set up from the beginning to be dumb. She struggles in school, and she can't for the life of her figure out the guy she wants doesn't want her even when he flat out says it. She can't figure out that her neighbor kissed her on purpose, because he REALLY likes her, which is why he's given her such a hard time all along (Because teen guys are dumb, and they pick on girls they like, in every universe). Of course, she eventually does, but by that point I wanted to slap her.

I suspect this would go over better with tweens.

Lily is a mermaid princess, next in line for the Thalassinian throne, but she’s spending her high school career on land, at a terraped public high school, after she finds out that her mother was human. On the whole, Lily leads a good life, except for two things: her annoying motorbike-riding neighbor Quince, who never passes up an opportunity to irritate Lily, and the fact that the love of her life, the perfect Brody, who has no idea how she feels about him.So when Quince offers to help Lily win Brody, Lily should’ve known better. Instead, the plan goes horribly awry, leading Lily and Quince on an adventure across land and water to right this romantic mess they’ve gotten themselves into before Quince is bound to Lily forever as her mermate.FORGIVE MY FINS is a cute and entertaining mythical twist on the typical high school romantic comedy. While the plot is predictable, bumbling Lily’s voice is easy to slip into, and the nautical surprises will delight even the most jaded reader.Lily is a fun protagonist, a little ditzy and immature at times, but nevertheless endearing. Tera Lynn Childs’ writing reminds me of Meg Cabot’s, with that effortlessly angsty yet relatable heroine. Secondary characters often run the risk of being “filler” characters, existing only for the sake of relaying information to the reader, or as someone for Lily to bounce her self-absorption off of, but Lily and Quince’s fiery relationship is still quite entertaining. Quince’s wide range of actions could’ve perhaps made more sense with his character, but for the most part readers will chuckle as they follow these two main characters’ antics and discoveries about one another. The basic plotline is one that we’ve seen many times before, but the mermaid twist allays the plot’s tiredness and puts new energy into this old story. FORGIVE MY FINS gives us an almost Disney-esque mermaid kingdom feel, with fascinating sights, customs, and details (the culinary ones in particular made me smile). So while Lily goes through the sort of romantic drama that countless similar heroines have gone through before in previous YA books, the constant switching between land and underwater scenes is undeniably fascinating. It is almost worth reading this book just to see the extent of Tera Lynn Childs’ world-building, which, while elementary in its presentation, with many “As you see, Reader…” statements, is simply colorful and bubbly fun.Overall, FORGIVE MY FINS is a predictable tale, but it still ends up being a success. Younger readers will find Lily and Quince’s interactions adorable (this book would’ve easily been one of my favorites had it existed back when I was in middle school), while readers with more experience will get a kick out of a foray into this as-yet-uncovered treasure trove of a new, magical world.

I loved this book!! I really like mermaids, and there just are not enough mermaids books out there. This book was truly a fun read, and a quick read at that. I can't wait until the next one comes out. Her characters all have strong personalities and I enjoy her writing style. I agree that a few times I wanted to bonk Lily over the head since she had her irrational points, but really, what teenage girl isn't? Loved it!!

I understand Lily is young but she is sooooo self centered and annoying. I kept trying to put it down because she was so stupid but was hoping she would finally relize love is right there in front of her. I also truly hated the ended.... feel like I wasted so much time reading this book to end to have the feeling kf pissed.

I love mermaids so when I found this book I had to read it. Such a fun short read. When two enemies start to grow feelings for one another a huge secret is revealed. With one kiss their lives are changed and challenges arise. The Author created a great storyline with wondeful characters. There is love, laughter, and friendship. The magical descriptions within this book were great. Definitely makes you want to be a mermaid princess that lives in a castle under the sea.

Lily has been in love with Brody for as long as she can remember, only he has no idea. When she finally wakes up one morning and decides to do something about it, her enemy Quince surprisingly decides to help her.....and that's when things get pretty interesting lol.Wow...this was such a cute book! I loved every little thing about it. First off, the cover is just fantastic. I swear I just kept reading and then flipping back just to stare at it. Awesome character developement, to where I really felt like I KNEW these characters. I must say that my favorite character was Quince. Such a hard exterior but yet so caring and thoughtful inside. Lily drove me absolutely nuts, but in a good way. We saw what Lily's life on land was like and then the author took us on a trip straight to Thalassinia. The detailed descriptions of everything made me feel like I was really there! The sexual tension between her and Quince was just so thick throughout the whole book I felt like I was intruding just to read about those moments lol! Why is it that we're always searching for something that appears to be right in front of our faces. The question is will it be too late to realize it? Awesome book if you're looking for something light and fun to read on your summer vacation.

This is a "cute" story, but rather shallow even for YA. It looks as it might turn into a series...but I don't think I'm going to read the next one.

Um...the girl (I don't remember her name) is a mermaid with a human mother & Poseidon as her father. She is very shallow & self-centered.

She is currently living with her human aunt and attending h.s.

She has a major crush (obsession) on the most popular boy, who ignores her...while the most aggravating boy is her next door neighbor, and is always hanging around.

She is not "popular" and not doing well in school....

She is determined to be the most popular boy's girlfriend, but that is not going as planned.......

And when the most aggravating boy kisses her....well that's when the real story begins & things begin to happen and we understand what is really going on with her.

There could have been a lot more to the book that would have made it good & interesting reading...but I found the plot to be as shallow as the main character...

Considering that many Teens are reading at a much higher reading level, I'd say that this is more suited to Young Teens...as the bareness of the plot & simple vocabulary will bore most Teens.

I was excited to read this - I love mermaids and seeing as how this book is all about a mermaid, I was into it. And it didn't disappoint me horribly, but I didn't love it as much as I expected. There is a lot of "sea slang" used and I didn't really care for that. I felt it was bordering on being too cute and juvenile, maybe more suited for a preteen. I also couldn't really relate to the heroine Lily much. She was a little too stubborn for my tastes and more often than not I was rolling my eyes at her attitude. Stubborn is good, but there is a fine line and then you're just being stupid. She was also a little more naive than I would expect a nearly 18 year old to be. If I wanted to sum up this book, it was basically about a girl who is stupidly stubborn and wrong and everyone but her can see it and that it drags out that way until the end. There was really nothing else to this story: no action, no other storylines. At the end though, there is an epilogue, which points that there will be a second book out, and it in fact out now: Fins Are Forever. It seems like the story could get more interesting in the next book, but I'm honestly not really jumping out of my seat to go get it. I will end up reading it most likely, but I didn't get caught up in the story enough to really get involved. I think Forgive My Fins could have easily been one book, despite the ending being slightly unsatisfactory for the feelings invested.

Ohmyfreakinggod! I am so beyond in love with this book! It took me a grand total of 4 days to read, (even though I started it like 2 weeks ago, when NaNo started I stopped reading until 3 days ago). I literally couldn't put this book down, Tera Lynn Childs just keeps writing these books that I will never be able to put down. I cannot wait for Fins are Forever (book 2), I totally need to know what happens next with all of the characters!Quince is definitely my favorite, but there's something about Dosinia that makes me curious about what she will do next, especially with that epilogue cliff-hanger.

Ever since I first came across a synopsis of Forgive my Fins, I'd been dying to read it, so when I could never seem to find it in any book store, I was so dissapointed. But now that I've finally read it (I won it in a contest!), I definitly think that it was well worth the wait, because it was fantastic!I've always loved mermaids (when I was little, whenever anyone would ask what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would always answer that I wanted to be a mermaid lol), but I've found that the YA genre has been lacking on books about mermaids, but this thankfully seems to be changing! Tera Lynn Childs has really struck gold, in my opinion, with Forgive my Fins because it combines everything that I love in a book; love, romance, humour, and of course mermaids as the supernatural creature of choice!Lily was such a cute character! I loved her from the beginning of the book, and all of her adorable ocean themed expressions made her that much more loveable. I found her to be so endearing and sweet! She was definitley very confused about her emotions though, and there were some times when I found her to be very stubborn, but as the book progressed, she was able to sort out her feelings and realize what she really wanted, who she was really falling for and who the right guy was for her.I definitley liked the character Quince in Forgive My Fins. He totally reminded me of that annoyong little boy who pulls on a girls pigtails when her likes her, but in a very good way. He kind of tries to have a sort of care-free, bad boy (he rides a motorcycle, which is pretty much a must-have for any bad boy lol) attitude about him, but you can see that he's such a sweetheart underneath his pigtail tugging exterior. As a whole, Forgive My Fins was a great read! Tera Lynn Childs writing was great and definitley made me laugh! As I mentioned before, I loved the ocean and fish themed expressions and puns that were riddled throughout the book, it added just a little something special to it, which I really liked! If you haven't yet read Forgive My Fins, I would definitley, 100% recommend picking it up! I seriously loved everything about this book and am now anxiously awaiting it's sequel, Fins Are Forever!

Forgive My Fins was a perfect summer read! This is the first book that I've read about mermaids, and I really enjoyed it! It was a lot different than I thought it would be but in a good way. I love how it wasn't about Lily trying to adjust to human life, or someone finding out her secret. It was a book about a girl who just so happened to be a mermaid, and it was great.Ahhh, I loved Quince. Hands down my favorite character. And the rest of the characters were great too! Strangely the one that I liked the least was Lily herself. I just thought that she was a bit too...thick sometimes. But that worked for the story in the end. The end! I loved loved loved the last chapter, but then the Epilogue gives you a kick in the butt.Everything about this book was just cute and light. I loved the way that Tera Lynn Childs dealt with Lily being a mermaid. She just was. There was no introduction, she was just explaining things as she went, which suited me fine. And the whole underwater world was fantastic. I wish that I could go and visit there for a vacation, it sounded so beautiful.Basically, I loved this book. If you're looking for something light and fun, this is the book for you!

Forgive My Fins is an adorable tale about a young mermaid living her teenage years on land. It's filled with fun terminology and an adorable love story that I look forward to reading more about these memorable characters!Lily Sanderson is half mermaid and half human, she has lived in the sea for all of her life and she wants to get a taste of the world that her mother comes from. At Seaview (haha, she's a mermaid living in a town called Seaview) High School she falls in love with the star swimmer, Brody. Despite having had more than a few conversations with Brody, she has decided to that she wants to take him to meet and her King Daddy and spend the rest of her life with him. All seems to be going well, until Quince Fletcher steals her first kiss. This is my first mermaid novel (if you don't count The Little Mermaid...) and I was pleasantly surprised. The characters were charming, the world was vast and the plot kept me glued to the edge of my seat. While Lily's infatuation with Brody is a bit odd at first, but as I got to know Lily's naive personality I understood how she loved anything that reminded her of home. The story was definitely not what I expected (a very interesting rule of mermaidism...)but I liked that we got to see both worlds on more than one occasion. The characters were memorable and I adored Lily's naive nature and determination. I also felt with her when she was distraught over her place on this earth. Lily's father came off very "King Tritonish" to me and I just could not shake that image from my head the entire time. While some of the characters were stereotypes of high school I enjoyed all of them and their interactions. At the beginning, Quince's ability to pop up randomly annoyed me, I did grow to like him as his relationship with Lily progressed. Childs gives Lily a very believable voice and this voice makes her a very likeable character. Childs has created her own dictionary full of mermaid slang which kept the story fresh and I give an A+ for originality. This rating hangs out somewhere between a 3 1/2 and 4. While I did really enjoy it, I did want more than what the ending provided. I would love to read the trilogy because I want more of Childs' world!I recommend this for anyone who wants a really cute and short read and enjoys the mermaid genre.

Let me state, for the record, that I think the above summary is one of the better ones I’ve read. It does a good job of setting up the story without really giving anything away. It’s true that the resolution of the conflict in the book seems obvious from the first few pages, and this made me a little leery that the entire story would be predictable. I was pleasantly surprised throughout the book, though, as there were enough twists to keep the story fresh. I don’t want to say a lot about the plot of the book, but I will say that something happens that forces Lily and Quince into a closer relationship than Lily ever desired with him. Seeing as Lily finds Quince to be the bane of her existence, this is something that Lily wants to correct as soon as possible. Yet despite her many attempts to separate herself from him, they are forced to spend even more time together. This appeals to me on several levels: 1) there is an obvious connection between the two of them, but Lily isn’t swayed by that because she’s working with the knowledge that he’s always been somewhat of a jerk to her; 2) anytime two people who don’t get along are forced to be together, there will be lots of tension, and a story’s not a story without a good bit of tension; 3) when two seemingly different people are thrown into a situation together in which they have to work together or lose something important, they have to overcome their differences and see each other as more than the things that separate them. There is an epilogue that took me by surprise, as the tone of it seemed extremely different in tone from the rest of the book and did little for the story other than set up a second book. I thought that this could have been omitted and a second book would still work, focusing on that plot thread. This is a fast and fun read, touching on the themes of belonging and acceptance and true friendship. I think it will be most enjoyable for younger teens, though there’s enough to keep older readers entertained as well.

This sounds strange, but I am strangely addicted to mermaid books. This is great when you want a nice, light mermaid read filled with fishy lingo, romance, and the light side of the mermaid legends. Lily is sweet and lovable and Quince is the type of guy that makes girls wish they were in Lily's place and lived next to him.

Forgive My Fins is enchanting, fun, and where have you been bookie?!*hugs it tightly* This is one of my favorites. This is one my 1st Tera Lynn Childs books. i guess i'll have to pick up her other books too!We get introduced to Lily Sanderson, who is a mermaid princess. But shes not exactly living in her kingdom,Thalassinia. She's hanging out with us humans on land. Going to high school, teen drama, and being soo in love with Brody. She thinks his the one perfect guy to bond with. I found Lily to be a little shallow and caught up in la la land. But when the moment Lily can finally get Brody alone....Quince comes. The annoying, rude, baby boy, next door neighbor hunk! He's always teasing her at first he was a jerk. But in my head i was like "ah huh you like her" ha! i've been there!*why can't guys just say they like you* But when Quince and Lily start spending more time together... it was clear that they need to be together. I've always liked Quince, he's smart, nice, and not a total jerk i thought he was going to be. Way better then Brody, he is shallow. Like Quince said Lily "is he toy". At times i wanted to shake her to snap into reality. She was so blind because love was already in front of her.My favorite movie growing up was Little Mermaid, so when ever there a YA mermaid book i have to read! Not only does the author have to create fabulous characters but a whole new beautiful world! Tera does that! Forgive My Fins will hook readers from the very 1st page!

I really liked this book. I couldn't put it down, although at times I thought Lily to be selfish and stupid, this was an enjoyable book. I absolutely feel in love with Quince, I loved his character and at times wanted to smack Lily in the head to make her come to her senses.
