About this audiobook
Mosier's history of the Eastern Front will generate considerable controversy both because of his unconventional arguments and because he criticizes historians who have accepted Soviet facts and interpretations. Mosier argues that Soviet accounts are utterly untrustworthy and that accounts relying on them are fantasies. Deathride argues that the war in the East was Hitler's to lose, that Stalin was in grave jeopardy from the outset of the war, and that it was the Allied victories in North Africa and consequent threat to Italy that forced Hitler to change his plans and saved Stalin from near-certain defeat. Stalin's only real triumph was in creating a legend of victory.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Highly recommend for those looking to expound the details of any type of relations between Germany and Russia/Soviet Union from late 1930’s to the end of WW2. The focus stays firm in regards to that subject.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I personally think the audiobook is biased , It is established though by the author that any history is biased and what is recorded in history books can be very different to what happened. Herein the Author is admitting that his revision of history could be equally as flawed, John mosier says ' he criticizes historians who have accepted Soviet facts and interpretations. Mosier argues that Soviet accounts are utterly untrustworthy and that accounts relying on them are fantasies.' therein lies the bias , Having a total disregard for someone that was there and saying he won't accept a single word from soviet accounts he is admitting he is blatantly disregarding what could be real truth to replaced by his own fantasy of what he would have liked the war to be

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Right from the beginning, the author tells the readers that history of wars is flawed and immediately goes to his selling point. This is a Subjective propaganda leaflet. Not more.
