- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Astird Bjorklund wants to use her training as a doctor to serve the Lord, she just isn't sure where she should serve Him. She thought it was to Africa, but when called home to Blessing, North Dakota suddenly to try and help her sister-in-law who is about to lose her unborn child, Astrid now must face where she should be. There are many tough questions Astrid must ask herself and seek wisdom from many people. Although this story didn't end the way I thought it would, I was very satisfied with the ending. This story picks up right where book one left off, so I enourage you to read book one first and then get ready to read book three after you finish so see how this series will end for Astrid.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This may be the second book in this series, but there are other series about this same town and its inhabitants. Maybe if you had read about the town of Blessing from its beginning, you would be more invested in these characters, but it seems like they suffer from a lack development to those of us who have not already read about them. This novel deals with women’s health, specifically pregnant women and miscarriages. But most of the book is spent on Astrid and her inability to make up her mind about going to Africa or not. She just can’t figure out what God is calling her to do. It seems pretty obvious to the reader where she is most needed, but poor Astrid takes the entire book to figure that out. Not the most thought-provoking novel, though I think that’s what it is intended to be. Somehow, it misses the mark.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a book of struggles, listening to God’s voice and acting upon what was heard.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Love it! Of course I've loved most of the books of Blessing, but this series has been the best yet. Can't wait for the third book of this set. Can I tell the author to get to writing? :)
