Junie goes on the vacation of a life-time. She's excited and plans to keep a photo journal to share with her classmates. Typical Junie, things just don't work out like she plans.

Junie B. is ready for her vacation to Hawaii. Her school assignment is to take pictures while she is on her vacation. The vaction is not how she expected it to be. Read the book to see what kind of trouble she runs into.

Junie B Jones, a first grader finds out that she is going on vacation to Hawaii. Her teacher gives he a camera, a journal, and a an assignment. She is to take photo's, with captions, of what she did on her vacation. Junie B's journal does not start out well. On Junie's last adventure, which was a guided tour of the rain forest, she initially thinks it is awful and boring, until a bird is attracted to all of the flowers that she has in her hair and then the bird gets stuck.I think kids can relate to Junie B because it is written in her voice. I also think it would be great to discuss not only vacations but giving new things a try.

The Junie B. Jones books are actually a lot of elementary school kids favorite. Again, my little sister has just about every book of Junie B. Jones. She loves to read them aloud to me. I think these books are great transition books and the adventure she goes on are very entertaining.

Critique: Genre: Junie B. is a very realistic character because of her sass and personality in relation to other students and to adults. She takes a very realistic trip by going to Hawaii and experiencing many typical tourist things while there. She deals with real feelings of frustration, anger, and excitement. Character: The character of Junie B. is very round because the story is told through her eyes. The reader learns the most about her because we "hear" her thoughts and feelings firsthand through her head and through her actions and dialogue with other characters.

    ★★★★★Junie B., First Grader: Aloha-ha-ha! (Junie B. Jones, #26)
    by Barbara Park

Junie B. 1st grader with an attitude and a knack or getting in trouble. But add in a trip to Hawaii and a camera, and you're sure to get her at here best.

This book had me laughing out loud! I loved reading these books as a child, and now reading them as an adult they are just as enjoyable! Junie B. Jones is excited because she is going on a trip to Hawaii with her mom and dad. They go swimming, snorkeling and on a nature hike. The vacation isn't all that Junie though that it would be, but she has lots of funny adventures along the way! Junie has a hard time being quiet and behaving, but what is to be expected of a young girl experiencing many new things for the first time! I love how Barbara Park included the photographs that Junie was taking as a visual representation of her vacation. This book can help to make a child feel more comfortable when they would be going on a vacation to paradise for the first time!

This book was absolutely hilarious. This is a realistic fiction chapter book for children in the 2nd to 4th grade. This would be no doubt entertaining for any child, Junie B's outrageous behavior is endlessly entertaining, and as an adult reader, made me laugh out loud on several occasions. I loved how the book is told by a first grader, and seeing the world through Junie B's eyes is an absolute riot. Humor is definitely the strength in this series! The central message of the story is having an open mind when experiencing new things, and looking on the bright side!

In my opinion, “Junie B. Jones Aloha-ha-ha” and the Junie B. Jones series is a wonderful series of chapter books for young readers. This book, in particular, is absolutely hilarious. Junie B. Jones is the main character of this story, she is very predictable because we know how she will react in situations and can predict her behavior. Also, if you have followed the series you would know her very well by this point. Junie and her parents are going on a vacation of a lifetime in “Pair-o-dice”. Junie B. is excited for her vacation to Hawaii. The vacation is not what she expected. Her teacher gives her a camera, a journal, and an assignment. The assignment is to take a photo everyday, with captions, and to describe what she did on her vacation. Junie B's journal does not start out well. Junie's last adventure was a guided tour of the rain forest and is awful and boring. At least it’s boring until a bird is attracted to the flowers in her hair and gets stuck in her hair. I think kids can relate to Junie B because it is written in her voice. I think it would be great to discuss not only vacations, but also giving new things a try. Junie B. Jones goes on vacation to Hawaii and has many fun (and not so fun) adventures while she is there. She is tasked with a photo journal assignment which she at first hates but learns to love during her time on the island.

Junie B. Jones goes on vacation to Hawaii with a real camera! But this vacation turns out to be less than paradise. Birds in the hair, old people everywhere! I love seeing the world through the eyes of this girl. It seems like she has a hard time getting just about anything right. These books are fun but really geared towards young girls. I know I have put Junie B. Jones in the hands of many young girl readers and they have come back for more.

Uh-oh, Junie B. is at it again…only this time she and her family (but not her baby brother Ollie) are enjoying a vacation of a lifetime in “Pair-o-dice”. Junie B.’s determined efforts to create a photo journal of her trip doggedly record the trials and tribulations of her family’s unique vacation. Through Junie B.’s journal entries, Park once again takes the reader right inside the precocious mind of the perky first-grade girl who sometimes doesn’t make the choices, but sometimes she’s just in the wrong place at the wrong time- how can she help that, I tell you? In either case, her innocent hilarity is now exposed to a new clime, replete with exotic adventures, all amusingly captured by Brunkus’ realistic grayscale drawings. First through third grade readers will be smitten by Junie B.’s larger-than-life personality and impressed by her decisive pluck. Hawaii may never be the same, but readers can always count on Junie B. to reveal her innermost thoughts- resulting in hysterical consequences.
