About this audiobook

Looking to get lucky?

Stephanie Plum is back between-the-numbers and she's looking to get lucky in an Atlantic City hotel room, in a Winnebago, and with a brown-eyed stud who has stolen her heart.

Stephanie Plum has a way of attracting danger, lunatics, oddballs, bad luck . . . and mystery men. And no one is more mysterious than the unmentionable Diesel. He's back and hot on the trail of a little man in green pants who's lost a giant bag of money. Problem is, the money isn't exactly lost. Stephanie's Grandma Mazur has found it, and like any good Jersey senior citizen, she's hightailed it in a Winnebago to Atlantic City and hit the slots. With Lula and Connie in tow, Stephanie attempts to bring Grandma home, but the luck of the Irish is rubbing off on everyone: Lula's found a job modeling plus-size lingerie. Connie's found a guy. Diesel's found Stephanie. And Stephanie has found herself in over her head with a caper involving thrice-stolen money, a racehorse, a car chase, and a bad case of hives.

Plum Lucky is an all-you-can-eat buffet of thrills, chills, shrimp cocktail, plus-size underwear, and scorching hot men. It's a between-the-numbers treat no Evanovich fan will want to miss!

I love any book that features Diesel. He is too hot to handle in this book. Grandma Mazur finds stolen money, buys and RV and goes to Atlantic City to gamble. Stephanie gets involved when her mom sends her to bring Grandma home. It's a wild ride and really enjoyable. It is a quick read and definitely worth it.

What did Grandma do this time?
Diesel, Stephanie and the rest of the crew are at it again this time with a horse and a leprechaun in tow.

Personally I think this is the best "Between the Numbers" Plum book. Although I will say it was funnier when I read it in print form than when I listened to it on audio. I'm not sure why that is. Don't expect a serious book. This is slapstick comedy folks; enjoy it for what it is and you'll probably like it.

A great read from my favorite adult author. All of my favorite charactors are her for a special St. Patrick's Day novel. Grandma is in the grove and ends up with a bag of stolen money which she promptly heads to the casino with. Grandma is perused by her family and of course the robbers who lost the money in the first place, and a crazy little man which thinks he is a leprechaun.

Digital audiobook narrated by Lorelei King3*** A “between the numbers” addition to the popular Stephnie Plum series, this one is number 13.5. Grandma Mazur is featured, along with Lula and Connie. Instead of Ranger and Joe Morelli, Steph is assisted by the mysterious Diesel. Randy Briggs returns for this adventure. A “little person,” Grandma hires Randy to chauffeur her to Atlantic City in the RV she just purchased with some of the loot she found in a duffel bag she literally tripped over. And then there’s Snuggy O’Connor, the guy that Diesel is hunting. Seems the duffel bag was Snuggy’s, but the reason Diesel is after him is because he stole a horse. Snuggy talks to animals and despite being born as Zigmond Kulakowski, he claims to be a leprechaun because he feels Irish. If this sounds outlandish … well, it is. That’s the fun of this series. The characters are eccentric with a CAPITAL E. The scenarios are ridiculous, but also frequently hilariously funny. Lorelei King does a great job performing the audio books in this series. She keeps the pace going at a good clip and I particularly love her interpretation of Grandma Mazur and Lula.

This is one of the "between-the-number" books. Evanovich titles her Stephanie Plum books in sequence with a number as part of the title. This isn't one of those, but it is a Stephanie Plum story with a lot going on.Stephanie's Grandma Mazur has gone missing and Stephanie's mom wants her found. Makes sense that Stephanie should be the one to go looking for her since that is what Stephanie does for a living.Last seen, Grandma Mazur had a large duffle bag filled with money. Just like the majority of seniors with extra cash, Mazur has gone to Atlantic City to hit the slots. There is a slight problem with this scenario...the money is stolen from Lou Delvina, a local mobster. It seems a little lebrechaun of a guy, wearing green pants, named "Snuggy" stole it to pay for an operation for Doug. Doug is a retired race horse that Snuggy stole. Grandma Mazur happened to find the duffle bag on the street when Snuggy dropped it.Helping Stephanie find and retrieve her grandma is Diesel, a guy with some mysterious talents, and her work cohort, Lula. They make an interesting team, to say the least. The cast is not your usual type of characters and the action gets quite wild and crazy. Guess you could call this a screw-ball sleuthing adventure. Just what I expect when I sit down with Stephanie Plum.

This is one of the "between-the-numbers" books in Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. These are part of the series' continuity (to the extent that that actually matters), but are distinct from the regular series installments in that they're shorter, are set around a holiday (in this case, St. Patrick's Day), involve some supernatural elements, and feature a character with the ridiculous name of Diesel, who I believe is a crossover character from a different Evanovich series. The other thing they usually have in common is that I find them annoying. The supernatural stuff feels badly out of place to me, the plots are usually dumb in a bad way (as opposed to the silly, fun sort of way one hopes for from this series), and Diesel is hideously skeevy even by Evanovich standards. So I was happy to discover that this one actually didn't annoy me. I still don't like Diesel, but I found myself at least able to tolerate him. And the main guest character, a guy with a less-useful-than-it-sounds gift of supernatural luck who believes he's a leprechaun, is actually surprisingly fun. Mind you, the end result is ridiculous, forgettable, mildly amusing fluff, but that's pretty much what I'm looking for from this series. I don't think it's quite as good at being mildly amusing fluff as some of the regular installments, but I'm just relieved that it mostly worked for me.

Not terrible.I don't see the point to the "between the numbers" books and Diesel. It's not like the other books are so heavy and serious that we need a break of lighter material. This one was not that much different than the regular books.

I'm not a fan of Diesel and don't particularly enjoy the books with him in it. However, Grandma Mazur was the focus of this episode in the between the numbers series, and I love her! I did enjoy Connie playing a larger role in this book. And the man who thought he was a leprechaun was a fun side distraction. Overall, a fun and quick read.

    Fast, easy & funny......

Same characters, same writing/plot formula except enter Diesel.....

St. Patrick's day, Grandma Masur finds a huge duffel bag of money... Steph & Lula see her on the street fighting w/ what looks to be a Leprechaun over the money. They save Grandma...and off she goes. Grandma buys an R.V. fitted out for "little people", gets a driver and off she goes to Atlantic City.

The Leprechaun who wants the money back, stole it from the Mob Boss in the previous book, in order to help get one of the racehorses he once rode (which he has stolen) to the vet.....

Diesel & Connie are in the mix as well.... Joe & Ranger only check-in....

I read it in a few hours....

I always have more fun reading the in-between books. It's been a while since I've read this one but I clearly remember a naked guy who thought he was an invisible leprechaun. It must look like a funhouse inside of Evanovich's brain. Laugh out loud funny.

The holiday ones get weird, and this one definitely did that. It was a fun roller coaster ride, though.

First I wasn't so excited. I rather thought that will be a bored reading and therefore I was a bit disappointed because usually I like this serie. From the middle away I was disabused because the story turned for the better and I had to snort with laughter what crazy stuff Stephanie and her takers were doing. Only the thought of getting a horse into a lift and what can happen made me giggle. In the end I have to admit that it was a very funny story.

I know I need to read more of the Stephanie Plum novels. I really enjoyed this book. I found myself laughing at the dialog between Lula, Connie, Diesel and Stephanie. Plum Lucky takes place around St. Patty's day. Stephanie's grandmother goes missing after she finds a duffelbag filled with money. Stephanie's mother is worried and sends her daughter out to find her. She finds her in Atlantic City and that is when the fun begins. Stephanie, Lula, Diesel and Connie work together to rescue grandmom after she is kidnapped in Atlantic City. This is a fast pace story and easily read in a day.

This was okay, nothing to write home about. Everything just seemed a bit over-the-top and it really didn't keep my attention. I probably wouldn't recommend this book to people reading this series.

This was just okay. I always find that the books the In-Between-the-Numbers series don’t have the same shine or amount of funniness as the regular books do despite having hunky Diesel in them. This was funny, but not enough to warrant an extra star even with the horsey hijinks.

Not my favourite Stephanie Plum, but enjoyable nonetheless. Grandma Mazur goes AWOL to a casino with someone else's money, add to that the usual chaos of the life of Stephanie, Lula revealing all, a horse in Stephanie's lounge and the usual episode of firebombing cars, and welcome to the world of Stephenie Plum!

When Stephanie sees her grandmother Mazur arguing with a guy about a bag, she really doesn't think much about it, until her mother tells her that her grandmother is missing. Stephanie goes about finding her with the help of Diesel and Lula and finds herself embroiled in a mess that involves a horse and kidnapping. It's fun, what you would expect from the series, a little shorter than most but entertaining.

A new book on Stephanie. You'd think I'd be ecstatic, and having read it in 3 hours, I suppose I was gung-ho for the whole experience, and yet.... I know I've mentioned before that I don't particulairly like her "between the numbers" Plum reads, but they're reads I devour em like all the rest. The characters become more than fun lovingly outlandish, they're straight up comic book characters, and they don't really explore the relationships I love in her regularly numbered books, so thats another down side. There was one nude scene in the book that had me laughing for about 10 minutes based on the description itself, so that hiked up the stars for me, and I'll continue to read whatever is put out by Evanovich, its just reading these kinds of books makes me feel as if the bloom has just worn off, and I must mourn it.
