About this audiobook

There's a new vampire in town. His name is Valentine Maxwell. Goth-girl Raven knows this latest intruder can only mean trouble—he's the younger sibling of two vampires she fought to drive out of Dullsville. But when her brother, Billy, befriends this dangerous tween night prowler, the stakes are suddenly higher. Though torn by the excitement of every teen girl's fantasy—attending the prom with her boyfriend—Raven must do everything she can to protect Billy.

Valentine's appearance may pose even further threats. Could he somehow know Raven's innermost feelings about becoming immortal for her true love, Alexander? The far-from-ordinary romance of these two teen outsiders takes another surprise-filled spin in the fourth book of Ellen Schreiber's applauded Vampire Kisses series.

The Maxwell twins fled town, our resident Goth and Vampire wanna be Raven and her Prince of the Night Alexander has finally free of stress - not!. Young brother of the Maxwell twins -Valentine decided to show up. Is he as evil as his older brother Jagger? What exactly is his plan for Raven's own - Billy? While Schreiber like to call Alexander our resident vampire, he still remains the less appealing character in this book. I am bored reading the parts that he's in it, unless it involves the sly Trevor. When Alexander's said Trevor is more like a vampire than him. I agreed. No kidding. Alexander's character needs to step up, I am beginning to think of him as a loser and rooting more on Trevor-Raven angst.

Again, really enjoyed Schreiber's work. However, I was a bit distressed by the lack of action. This one moved a bit slower, perhaps because Valentine isn't as interesting (or at least as well developed) as Jagger and Luna. Still. I look forward to the next book.

I am reviewing the book, "Dance With A Vampire" by: Ellen Schreiber. I chose to read this book because I wanted to read more of the Vampire Kisses Series because I love it. I really liked this book too, like the rest. The characters are very unique. I love Raven's style. I liked this book beacause I think it is cool how Raven has a little brother. Also so do the Maxwell twins Jagger and Luna. His name is Valentine, and he tries to turn Raven's little brother into a vampire. He fails though, and it was a relief. The book, again did not meet my expectations. It didn't meet my expectations because I didn't expect yet another sybling from the Maxwells. I also didn't expect him to try to change Raven's brother Billy into a blood sucking monster. I loved it though just the same.

In this book Raven showed some of her insecurity. For just a few seconds, she thought she would be changed, but in the end what she learned is that she is not as ready for it as she thinks. While Valentine is supposed to be the villain of this piece, by the end of the novel he inspires more sympathy than ire, proving that you should always look deeper into people's motives.

Raven continually loves Alexander but why is the books so short? Some authors really need to start combining their short books into one...

I have loved this series since book one. I really like the character of Raven and how she is an outcast but in my eyes she is the popular one, she sticks out to me and is a very cool character. In this book Raven and Alexander get closer and there are a couple of times in the book when I think Alexander is going to turn Raven into a vampire finally, if he does or doesn't I won't say, I don't want to ruin the book. But the book does end with Alexander leaving again after they capture the new trouble in town, Valentine, Jagger's younger brother, and they find out where Jagger and his sister are hiding! Great series!

I'm still waiting for something major to happen. It seems the series so far has been set on a slow simmer, I'm awaiting that rapid boiling point. We shall see what book 5 has in store for me.

I like this series, I do. I like Raven's quirkiness and I don't take the story too seriously. This series is odd, in that the characters and themes are aimed at high schoolers but the writing is somewhat immature and seems better off for 10-14 year olds. That said this story was a cute, super speedy read. Raven and her vampire boyfriend Alexander, have gotten rid of teenage brother and sister vampires who are out to make trouble and keep Raven from Alexander. Suddenly they have the duo's younger brother Valentine snooping around and up to no good. What does Valentine want and is he planning on harming Raven's younger brother Billy Boy? Mix in some fun with the Prom and some relationship angst and that about rounds off the book. My biggest complaint is that these books are TEENY Tiny and cost $8.99. They are trade paperback size, but it still feels like a rip off to spend that much on such a thin tale.

i can't finish this one, it's completely lost me. It makes me want to stab a 13 yr old who is on the brink of becoming a stalker. So with that being said, I'm starting something new. Although these books were really cute, just completely different mindset than I was prepared for.

I gave them a three stars because, I do like them I think there is just some things that i would like to see different. But if its a book aimed at pre-teens then its perfect. So I would give my little sister my copies, but I don't think I'm interested in picking them up again. It's just making me want to punch babies or something and that's not nice :P lol

So I was pretty excited to get this book. I finished number three, Vampireville, way back in the summer. While I was positively thrilled to receive this book for Christmas, and while I absolutely adore the cover, I was not elated about the literary quality. Glancing at the slim amount of pages, I told myself that it was quality, not quantity, that counts. Too bad there was neither.I don't know how many of the people reading this post have ever read fanfiction online, but it's posted in chapters, which tend to be short in length and, often, far between. Dance with a Vampire was an emulation of that. It was complete fluff, with ridiculous plot "twists" thrown in. It was cheesy, corny, sappy, and boring. The quirkiness of Raven's character, which carried the first and second books and lent itself slightly to the third, is completely worn out by book four. What's more, the plot almost exactly copied that of number three! The difference? It was twice as boring the second time around! This entire book could have been skipped and gone right to the decision all the readers are waiting for--whether or not Raven becomes a vampire. Now those of you who are fans of Twilight and have not read this book are probably wondering what kind of rip-off this is. Truth be told, Vampire Kisses, the first book, was out quite a bit of time before Twilight. it's just that Twilight did it a million times better--it's MUCH less hokey.(Which is saying something, considering how hokey Twilight is).So if you have even a slight interest in this book, forget it and read Twilight instead. This review is also a post on my blog :)
