- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5First few chapterd are from known figures but later the focus is aľost exclusively on Britain ˇ.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I guess I'm not into speeches or I'm not familiar with the events, none of them is recent, all hundreds or thousands years old. It somehow failed to captivate me.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I read the audio version of this, which was definitely the way to go. The collection includes great speeches by a variety of historical figures. Each one is read beautifully, giving full weight to the significance of the moment with a brief explanation of who gave the speech and what the context was. I wish a few more speeches had been included. The collection is a small one and there are so many more that could have given the book even more weight.
