- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Best intense listen I’ve had in awhile couldn’t stop reading till I had it done ❤️
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My favorite book! Adventure, passion, romance, mystery and extra interesting to me because I love to dive. Read and listened to this book twice! ❤️
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have read and listened to this book. Its one of my all time favorites.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Was a fairly good listen but not one of NR’s best still for a nice beach read I’d recommend it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5a great read, kept me guessing and I couldn't stop listening
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Much too repetitive—- all that incessant talk about the amulet got to be quite tedious. I was hoping for another one of Nora’s best: The Obsession, The Witness, Hideaway, Shelter in Place, Local Hero, and Secret Star; all of which I’ve read and re-read many times.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A great Nora Robert's read Including romance, murder and intrigue!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5can"t really rate as I had to stop. I have listened/ read many books by Nora Roberts & definitely love her stories but as soon as I heard the southern accent again! I just had to stop. I've listened to too many of her audio books with that southern drawl.... just can't take another! No offense to southerners, but it's def.not my favourite accent! story seems interesting though.....I'll have to find another...
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another good read from Ms Roberts. Excellent story, intrigue, skullduggery, romance, friendship, love, all rolled into one.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5A recording where chinks is the text are not missing
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The Reef is a compelling romantic tale of love, betrayal, and witchcraft surrounding a priceless necklace named Angelique's Curse lost at sea when the Isabella shipwrecks off the Caribbean coast in the 18th century. After chasing the haunted amulet for decades, Matthew and Buck Lassiter team up with the Beaumonts to continue the search, and, together, they stumble onto the Santa Margarita, a sunken ship off the Island of Nevis that contains priceless treasures but no necklace. Tate Beaumont and Matthew's love/hate relationship is painful and, at times, aggravating as the two families find their discovery snatched away by a madman who will go to any length to possess Angelique's Curse. The author's descriptive narrative of underwater diving is realistic and colorful, the action is lively, and the plots twists at the end are worth waiting for. All in all, I found this modern-day swashbuckler very entertaining.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book was a little too "romance fiction" for my complete liking but the story about treasure hunting in the Caribbean was certainly exciting and interesting. You just know the young hero and heroine are eventually going to get together but it's interesting to see the impediments to their relationship arise and eventually be overcome. The villain was suitably evil and the other characters were quite well developed. An enjoyable if light read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It started slow than pick up. Very good book!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very light reading but quite enjoyable. During the reading I couldn't help but wonder how Silas VanDyke would get his reward/punishment.The book gives some insight into diving for treasure too.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The more books I read by Nora Roberts, the more I am discovering her tallent for creating a setting for her novels. She really knows how to take the reader with her on every adventure. The Reef was so well written that you could just imagine yourself in the sea diving for treasure or aboard the boat in the warm sun. The plot was wonderful, the characters were likable, the villians were nasty. I really enjoyed the love story between Tate and Matthew. I liked how it spread out over the years, which made it slightly more realistic. I really enjoyed this book, it was full of adventure!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is one of the books I keep on hand to re-read. It's a keeper.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Starts out slow. Good beach read.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Somewhat entertaining, mostly forgettable. While reading this for the first time, I was less than thrilled. After the fact, I feel no inclination to revisit this book despite being an avid re-reader. Roberts has much better work out there, so feel free to skip this one without a worry.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Average story from Nora Roberts. Could not get really worked up about the characters, rather non descript, but marine archaeology seemed quite interesting to me. All that history!
