- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I often have panic attacks as a performer but haven't taken the time to methodically deal with my situation beforehand. I've dabbled and read a bit about self-hypnosis but, am not sure it has been completely successful through the years. It's not till lately that my ability to embrace or deal with my fears has become crucial as it applies to my job as an entertainer, instructor, and in social situations as well. It's definitely a mind over matter situation for me. The anxiety has cost me several jobs and I don't plan to allow this to continue. Medically I have a condition called Graves Disease in which I'm more at risk of panicking under stressful situations but, I've witnessed myself also on the flipside be able to handle myself in my performances with prior relaxation mantras, stretching, and breathing exercises. Hopefully I will find a way to deal with my anxiety for good.
