About this audiobook

Melville’s Bartleby is a classic American short story, a strange tale of an assiduous copyist whose catch-phrase is ‘I would prefer not to’. It is joined here by two other stories from The Piazza Tales, Melville’s idiosyncratic collection: The Lightning-Rod Man and The Bell Tower.

I love my audible app. I have several conditions as well as chronic pain and some days I just can't move or I need a distraction. On the bad days and plenty of the good too, I listen to fantasy books and imagine having a life inside that book and being swept up in the story. My meds can make it hard for me to concentrate enough to physically read so audible is the next best thing??I love this book so much
