- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My 5 year old son loved it and wanted to listen to it again
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5An example of a legend book. This book, the father tells seven short stories to his children before bed. The story portrays an interesting plot. The father mouse tell his little mice about seven different legends that their only similarity is that they all have something that the little mice can learn from.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a fabulous book filled with hilarious stories of different mice. My mom used to read these out loud all the time, and the stories are still as fresh in my mind as ever.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A nice book, children like to read. Not as good as Frog and Toad, in my opinion.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Reason for Reading: Son read aloud to me as his reader. This is perfect Arnold Lobel. Once all seven mouse boys are in bed, Papa mouse begins storytime and he tells one story per child. Thus we have a book of seven short tales. They are all cute and funny and both ds and I enjoyed the book very much. Mostly, the stories are about boys but there is one about a girl and another about a boy and his mother. So this is certainly a boy friendly book, but I don't think girls are going to notice the lack of females; the stories are just funny for everyone. Plus, of course, this is Lobel in the hey day of his artistic talent. Gorgeous and plentiful illustrations.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The first book I ever loved. No matter how old I get "The Journey" and "The Bath" will always make me laugh, and this book will always make me smile.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5In this book, mouse father tells seven funny stories to his children. We can enjoy these stories. They're almost funyn stories, but sometimese included heartwarming stories. I think you can also enjoy beautiful and cute pictures.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Not quite as good as Mouse Soup, which I've loved forever. My favorites were The Mouse and the Winds, and The Old Mouse.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It has a wonderful collection of short stories for children. I am an ESL teacher and my students love it. The stories get progressively more challenging, so it helps to improve the students' listening skill.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5There are seven tales about mouse in this book. My favorite tale is "VERY TALL MOUSE AND VERY SMALL MOUSE". This is a heartwarming story.
