Josh, Ruth Rose and Dink are visiting Louisiana with Ruth Ann’s Grandmother. While there, Jack, a children’s guide takes them for a hike in the bayou forest. Here they meet some villagers, villagers who live without electricity! Just before they reach the village they see a hand-painted sign “Zombie Zone”. From this point on the mystery begins. This book rated grade 1-4 makes a great bedtime chapter read for children. It promotes developing observation skills and beginning critical thinking. I read this with my grandson and he loved it.I took a star off because the story had the children being passed off to another adult, without the kids following safety procedures for identifying this second adult. In cities too many children are kidnapped and Cooper is not allowed off the school bus without being able to identify the adult meeting him to his bus driver. So we had a little reminder talk about safety.

This book is about a group of kids solving a zombie mystery. This book was a good book but, not something I would discuss in class. Older kids would love to read it and try to solve the mystery.

Josh, Ruth Rose and Dink went to a small town but the town seems to be haunted because of a cemetery. Someone seems to be digging up the graves. They think they can find out who is digging up the graves in the cemetery. I think kids should read this book because it was really good.
