About this audiobook

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Whatever After series, the sequel to Bras & Broomsticks and the second book in the hilariously bewitching Magic in Manhattan series!

Rachel has finally come to terms with the outrageously unfair fact that her younger sister, Miri, has inherited magical powers from their mom. But now the whole witchcraft thing is spiraling out of control. Mom is a magicaholic, Miri's on a Save the World kick, and the one teeny tiny love spell that Rachel begged for has gone embarrassingly, horribly wrong.

Suddenly, the fate of everything is in Rachel's hands.

Her family.

The world.

Senior prom.

2nd in the Magic in Manhattan series. This picks up right where the first left off. Rachel is feeling the wrath of the in crowd after ruining the fashion show in the first book. Her family goes to an isolated cabin for spring break where their mom finally relents and allows her younger sister to start experimenting with her magic which leads to disastrous and hilarious results. First Miri tries to save cows from a beef farm and they end up in the school gym. She makes a love spell for Rachel which kind of backfires in that it works on the older brother, Will, as opposed to the object of her real affection Raf. Rachel goes with the ruse however due to the fact that she's now back in with the in crowd and the seniors. Miri is using her powers to try and save the world, but learns that everything comes with a consequence. Mom has started using her powers again thanks to Rachel's suggestion as well as dating with unusual results. Per the normal YA book everything turns out good in the end and it appears that Rachel may be coming into powers of her own.

Frogs and French kisses is the second book in the Magic In Manhattan Series, which starts off where the 1st book (Bras and Broomsticks) ended. I really enjoyed reading the 1st book in the series and i didn't have any doubts about the sequel living up to my expectations. It was funnier and crazier then the 1st book! I LOVED it!After the mess that Rachel caused in the end of Bras and Broomsticks, all that she wants is to hide under her covers and never come out. All the A-List people are furious on the trouble that she caused, especially London, who broke her leg because of Rachel's clumsiness. Now London is making sure to give Rachel hell by taunting her. No one wants anything to do with Rachel except her best friend Tammy but Tammy gets sick and so Rachel is on her own at school. Her little sister Miri decides to give Rachel a boost of confidence by making her another love spell for Raf, her ex-boyfriend and long time crush who she accidentally stood up at Spring Fling, to attend her Dad and Step Mother's wedding. Of course it wasn't her fault that both things were happening at once (Or so she keeps telling herself)While waiting for Raf to confess his love for her, Rachel starts to notice that his older brother Will keeps staring at her which starts to creep her out. Then out of nowhere Will approaches Rachel after school and confesses that he is in love with her which completely shocks Rachel. Miri cast the love spell on the wrong person and now Rachel has more problems to deal with... or does she?Miri is starting to get the hang of her powers and is doing all she can to master more spells and use her powers to help the world (With the help of Rachel of course) Their mother plays a slightly bigger role in this book although we don't get to read about her much. Rachel suggest that she starts dating again which leads to another problem. She turns into a full blown magicaholic and Rachel and Miri seem to be on their own with their mishaps of magic and life.I laughed out loud so many times while reading this book! I absolutely love Rachel! She is so crazy, comical and likable! I can't wait to read the next two books in this series! Might i add that the way this book ended really made me laugh? Sarah Mylnowski is definitely an author to look out for! Check out the Magic in Manhattan books! :)

I recommend this book to people that love funny, adventerous and on going books. This book was different because on some books you know what will happen next, but in this book you never see it coming. This book is very interesting and really encouraging.By: Jazlyn

Frogs and French Kisses by Sarah Mlynowski is the second book in a young adult series called All About Rachel. This is a very cute series, I love the family aspect that is bestowed in these books. The mother is a hoot in this book with the different parent philosophies that she has with her two daughters. The girls have been through a lot with the divorce and also with school things going on.Miri is a witch and is just learning to use her magic but is only supposed to be using it for good purposes. However, her big sister, Rachel (who is not a witch) tries to get Miri to use the powers to help her with things that are going on at school. This entire series so far has made you ask the question, when will they all learn.I rated this book 4 out a 5. A very light read for anyone who needs a good giggle.

In which Rachel, Miri and their mom learn the consequences of magic and magic use. While also surviving going back to school, dating and trying to be as good as they can. It's fun, but not as good as the first story.

I read this back to back with the previous book from the trilogy. I enjoyed the two enough that I'll probably read the third one, but I'm not going to rush out and buy it in hardback -- I'll wait until used copies are available. This book was more predictable than the first in the series and I found the character development relatively thin. In a YA series, I always like plausible growth from the characters (Georgia Nicolson being the only tolerable exception that comes to mind) and didn't find it here -- what development there was felt predictable and forced rather than earned. Still, the spells were better used in this book than in the previous one and the discussion of the divorced parents was actually quite good in this book.

This book was amazing. In the sequel to Bra's & Broomsticks we find Rachel is starting to learn what magic is all about and that every spell has a consequence.I'm sooo happy to discover that Sarah Mlynowski has written another, Spells & Sleeping Bags!!:)

Rachel is being ostracized at school because of what happened at the Fashion Show. At first she tries to keep it a secret b/c Miri is obsessing about saving the world and her mother is obessing with dating and how magic can help her with dating. Once Miri finds out about Rachel's situation, she tries to cast a love spell so that Rachel and Raf can try and make a go of things again. Unfortunately the spell backfires and Rachel ends up with someone else. Can Rachel get Miri and her mom to see the light and settle down before the consequences of all this magic get out of control?

I love Ariadne Meyers narrating on this book. There were still points where Rachel, Miri and their mother were so outrageous that I felt a little bit anxious, but less so then in the third book. Rachel definitely felt more mature in this book, but only just barely. She is still a little bit crazy and she still constantly makes me laugh with her nutty behavior. Can't wait to listen to the next two.
