There is a fair amount of dangerous misinformation about some of life's most volatile relational dimensions in this book. I encourage you to check out this podcast episode, where this book, along with others, comes under constructive criticism.

Very life changing book and very practical. This is a book that a man must constantly refer back to. I normally do not write reviews but I had to write a review for this book. If you are a person who is trying to grow in your Christian walk and yet struggle with porn and or lust, this book is definitely for you. I know if I listened to this book in my younger years, I would have been in a much better place in life. Thankful to God for stories shared in the book and the author for writing it.

I’m not quite through it yet, and I’m reading it to help and empathize with someone else. But I don’t know how much more of the cringey comments and misogyny I can take. Why so many comments about women losing their looks after marriage? I understand this should be an open and candid discussion about the goal of God’s standard of sexual purity. So some of the anecdotes about the objectification of women are necessary. I just think a lot of it needs to be updated, and they need to consider a more respectful way of talking about women whenever possible. Men will find it somewhat easier to work toward obedience to God if they see women as equals, people with souls created in God’s image.

Wow I’m in the fight of my life to save my marriage! This is the 1st book in my life that I have read from cover to cover. And I’m 67. Never knew how controlled my mind was and why my wife has distanced herself from me.
Now I have hope and ALOT OF WORK!
    Thank you

Really good insight in daily living. The stories were jaw dropping real that brought me to a sobering reality. It has rebuke my thinking. Greatly appreciate the practical scripture application.

This book is helpful for those struggling with pornography and lust. Every pastor should read this book and consider it for use in pornography-recovery groups; I intend to use it so.

This book is a good tool to combat the mediocrity seeping in to our lives. ALthough centrally focused on sexual purity by God's standards, it is a reminder that in all things, God's way is best.It is a nicely written book and easily read. There is a very helpful "step-by-step" process to overcome sexual impurity and allow God to have full control of your life.

I think there is a detency in Christianity to only talk about the sins that affect other people and not "us." Abortion, homosexuality, and the like get sermon after sermon. We even get lectures on smoking, which the Bible does not speak about at all. Meanwhile, other struggles are kept in the dark out of embarrassment. Lust and pornography run rampant in the Church, and whenever someone talks about them, they are hushed down. This book takes on the subject head on and without apology. It's about time! The authors give a very clear and good explanation of what the problem is, and some ideas to deal with it.This book is a must read for anyone who struggled with sexual temptation (as in, all the men and half of the women).
