      I believe the premise of this particular tale is that young Evan discovers a canister of green slime. Terrifying events ensue. A very proper primer for the education of youngsters' manners and behavior.

      Monster Blood is one of the better books in the Goosebumps series and is also notable for being such an early book that went on to inspire sequels. Evan is forced to stay at his great-aunt Kathryn's house while his parents travel to Atlanta to look at houses. Kathryn is deaf, and refuses to learn sign language or read lips, so the only way to communicate with her is by writing -- and she doesn't even seem very interested in listening to Evan that way. The only company he has is his dog, Trigger, and it's while walking him one day that he meets Andy, a girl his age who he gets along with famously. They take a trip together to a local toy store and purchase a product called "monster blood". It seems fun at first, but then Trigger eats some of it before Evan can stop him. And the monster blood seems like it's been growing and growing in its container until it suddenly can't hold it anymore. What is this stuff?The book is just sort of ok until you get to the ending, which I personally enjoyed a lot. Great-aunt Kathryn is one of my favorite Goosebumps characters, and I enjoy thinking about her background and what must have been going on behind the scenes that the two 12-year-old main characters weren't aware of. It's one of the better twist endings in the series and I can see why the sequels were written.

      Best book ever you don’t know how good it is I would listen to this for hours and hours and hours and hours there is nothing bad about this book I love it if you were to listen to this it will fill my heart with joy and Goosebumps if you’re looking for something scary come here it’s extremely frightened.

      A remarkable written book by June Factor and Illustrated by Peter Viska is a hilarious book. The main characters in this book are Andy, Evan. They both was almost going to die before Evans dog saved them from the evil cat Sarabeth. My favourite part of the book was when Evan and Andy played with the green substance because it sounds really fun.This book is written as a chapter book series. I liked this book because of it describable words and sentiences. The parts that made me laugh were probably how they described the dog growing. I kind of felt like I was looking at the main character’s eyes. I think this book suits all ages.

      Goosebumps. This is the series that kept me reading through my childhood. More than any other series, Goosebumps kept me interested in reading, and R.L. Stein is a wonderful children's writer. I applaud his efforts, and can't express enough my gratitude for the series.

      Evan is forced to stay with his great-aunt Kathryn, and she seems pretty weird, but what ends up really weird is the monster blood that he and a friend pick up. It keeps growing and growing, and then it gets hungry... Finally Evan learns the secret to why Kathryn is so weird- she's prisoner of a witch. They defeat the blood, the witch, and get rid of the local bullies at the same time.

      Evan's father has been transferred to Atlanta, so Evan has to stay with his great-aunt Kathryn, while his parents look for a new house. His great-aunt is completely deaf, refuses to learn sign language or to lip-read, and is, in his father's words, a bit weird.

      It's not all bad, though. When he takes his dog, Trigger, for a walk, he meets Andrea--Andy. She's twelve, like him, and they share a sense of humor, so they become fast friends. While looking around a toy store, they find a can of 'Monster Blood.' It's cold, stretchy, green, bouncy, glows in the dark, and seems to be growing larger. After trigger eats some, he grows bigger, too. Soon, Evan has more Monster Blood than he can handle, and seems almost... hungry.

      Monster Blood is the third entry in R. L. Stine's Goosebumps series, and is reminiscent of The Blob. It must have proved popular, because it was followed up by several sequels, including the sixty-second and final Goosebumps book, Monster Blood IV.

      Monster Blood is fairly entertaining, and the twist at the end is better integrated into the story than in the previous two Goosebumps books. I think that the prose is better in Monster Blood, too. The story of an all-consuming blob is a fun bit of classic horror, repackaged for kids. This one's also available for the Kindle, as Classic Goosebumps #3, so give it a try, whether you prefer paper or electronic books.

      A spare book which I read as a breather from normal length novels, Monster Blood has no room for error. The faster the monster blood grew the less scary it got. Did I say scary? I meant more goofy. There's the usual trickery of imaginations, only here it's in the shape of dreams instead of shadows' foreshadowing. All first three Goosebumps books have now received 3 star. I'll be satisfied if this quality does not decrease in forthcoming books in the series. And odds are, in over 60 books there would, must, be a book of higher quality than usual.

      The third in the Goosebumps series, Monster Blood is a riot of creepiness and is sure not to disappoint! I think I see a pattern developing (though I suppose three books in is a bit too soon to make any final judgments)...this series seems to be more about a campy and creepy type of vibe than a truly horrific/scary one (though the first one, I felt was genuinely scary in places), I'm getting a bit of Tales from the Crypt Jr. feel as I am going through the series and I rather like that. In this volume, we meet Evan (and his new friend Andy). Evan has come for a few weeks to say with his Great-Aunt while his parents are looking for a new home for them to buy...the main problem with this being that his Great Aunt is deaf, stubborn and a bit creepy. After being dropped off, Evan is sure he's going to be miserable for the whole time he's there and this is largely confirmed when he is immediately set upon by the local bullies (twins). He is temporarily saved by Andy who quickly becomes his friend and they set off together to browse the old toy store that is going out of business. As Andy looks for a present for her cousin and comes up empty handed, Evan discovers a can of "monster blood" and simply must have it. The owner sells it reluctantly and Evan and Andy scurry out of the shop with their new prize. After getting it home, they play with it for a while and as with all Goosebumps books...it's all down hill from there. Something strange is happening with the monster blood...it's growing, expanding and starting to take on a life of it's own! What will Evan do...how did this happen, read and find out...you won't be disappointed!

      If there's anything Stine does well, its capture the nuisance of teenaged jerks. Unfortunately, he does it a little too well. So well in fact I spent most of the book vein-bulgingly annoyed. It was quite painful to get through because I spent most of the book telepathically screaming at the main character how he *should* be reacting to his worst friend.

      I have always been a Goosebumps fan, but I only recently discovered the Horrorland series. Each book has a (very) creepy story involving children, followed by a chapter of the Horrorland tale. Each book brings further clarity to the Horrorland section, leaving the reader craving more. Unfortunately, I only have the first eight, so I am in limbo as to what will happen. I cannot wait to obtain the remainder of this thrilling series!
