About this audiobook
Stephen M. R. Covey shows how trust—and the speed at which it is established with clients, employees, and all stakeholders—is the single most critical component of a successful leader and organization.
Stephen M. R. Covey, widely known as one of the world’s leading authorities on trust, asserts that it is “the most overlooked, misunderstood, underutilized asset to enable performance. Its impact, for good or bad, is dramatic and pervasive. It’s something you can’t escape.” Thankfully, it’s is also the thing that can dramatically improve your personal and professional success.
Why trust? The simple, often overlooked fact is this: work gets done with and through people. The Speed of Trust offers an unprecedented and eminently practical look at exactly how trust functions in every transaction and every relationship—from the most personal to the broadest, most indirect interaction. It specifically demonstrates how to establish trust intentionally so that you and your organization can forego the time-killing, bureaucratic check-and-balance processes that is so often deployed in lieu of actual trust.
This 2018 updated edition includes an insightful afterword by the author which explores ten key reasons why trust is more relevant now than ever before—including how trust is the new currency of our world today.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5So many truths and things that make you stop and think. I had fantastic discussions with my husband about this book. He was reading it for the group of people he works with, but we found it applicable to our relationship as well. Really good!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The son is a better writer than the father. He shows how without getting bogged down in little things.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Awesome book with life principles that are detrimental to human relationships
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I was a little hesitant to buy this because it was "Covey's son." Was he writing a book and hoping to ride his father's coattails? He hooked me quick, though, as he told the story of the low trust he experienced during the Franklin and Covey merger. He was writing what he learned from that experience; it's not just a theory. I enjoyed the book, and would recommend it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Outlines the importance of trust in relationship to our colleagues and co-workers.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The book is by Stephen M.R. Covey, who is the son of Stephen R. Covey. Stephen R. Covey is the author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. This book explains how trust allows for more efficient operation. Trust is based on competence and ethics. Ethics has a number of components. His point makes a great deal of sense. Stephen provides examples from business and family, which he uses to make his points. I recommend this book. I good deal of what is stated is common sense.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A powerful interpretation of trust as a fundamental personal and professional tool. Important in both contexts is its discussion about establishing trust with oneself.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Rated: A-Like his dad, a little verbose
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Management handbook: actually pretty good; full of practical points and specifics and manages to stay in the business mind set and not stray too much into the realms of self-helpy nonsense.
