Reviews for Social Marketing

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great advice on in increasing online awareness. It’s a bit outdated, so take what is said with a bit of salt.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book so far!. It covers the basics and is a must have for any person wanting to venture into social media marketing.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Most of the information provided are very common and not such an interesting book .
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book breaks down the daunting task of social marketing into chewable bites that even seasoned entrepreneurs will glean ideas from.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book has plenty of useful advice for those of us with little experience on the topic but who need to become better at it. I am mainly looking to use the advice on a non-profit organization and, even though the content was aimed at businesses, I believe that with some mild changes I could apply most of the advice provided in the book.
A big disadvantage is that the information is not updated (I don't know when it was written but it doesn't mention Instagram or Pinterest) and it points readers to a blog that doesn't exist anymore - really annoying because it was supposed to have extra tips which I would've liked to read.
On a very personal note, the way Liv Montgomery reads really bothered me - it was overdone, too rehearsed and sounded false; it reminded me of bad infomercials. Sometimes I found it hard to concentrate on what she was saying because of how she was saying. I wouldn't like to see her speak live, so I would recommend the actual book as opposed to the audiobook. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good book for people with little experience in the topic!
