About this audiobook

There's no diet, no push-ups, no treadmill. But Lisa Nichols has got a plan that will move you, flex your "bounce-back" muscles and empower you to realize your dreams, no matter what. Her message is one of resiliency: you can get the life you deserve and realize your dreams, No Matter What! Millions of people are trying to live by The Secret's Law of Attraction, but the truth is that it won't work unless you've strengthened your bounce-back muscles. Your bounce-back muscles give you the strength and agility you need to navigate life's speed bumps-and the program in No Matter What outlines these 9 Steps or "muscles", which include your Confidence muscle, your Faith-in-Myself muscle, your Honesty Out Loud muscle and your Forgiveness muscle, and tells you how to use them to achieve happiness and success. By developing and toning her own bounce-back muscles at critical points in her life, Lisa Nichols found the power to become her authentic self and achieve everything she dared to hope for. In this powerful audiobook, Lisa breaks down her plan for listeners. She shares her own remarkable story and prescribes a program of specific exercises and action steps for readers to learn from their past and move toward a courageous future.

You CAN overcome every obstacle....NO MATTER WHAT! That is what Lisa Nichols shows us with her 9 Steps to Living the Life You Love. I found this book very well-written, and inspiring. Lisa makes a lot of sense with her approach to life and her steps in how to get past those things that trip us up...and don't we all have just one? or two? or a few??? I stayed up late the past two nights totally engrossed in what I was reading and couldn't wait to finish the book. Lisa's candor and down to earth approach make No Matter What! an easy book to read. Her steps aren't rocket science, and anyone could follow them and apply them to their own life. The difficult part would be the confronting our own selves! But aren't we worth it?! I would love for everyone to be able to read this book and just imagine the possibilities! Definitely a keeper! Find it! Buy it! Read it! Keep it!

Usually I'm not into self-help books but gave this one the old college try. Ms. Nichols made some very good suggestions in the book. She had exercises to do and lots of self talk ideas. I still don't get it though but maybe I'm one of those people that need a little more. Now that I've read it completely, maybe I should go back and do more of the exercises she mentions. Could be that would do the trick. I would recommend it to someone that is in to self-help books though.

There were several obstacles that I had to get through to read this book: the homework (who doesn't want a quick fix?), the vocabulary (I found the idea of bounce-back muscles annoying), the self-promotion at the end. This book however is powerful in the sense that it is completely honest: Nichols practices what she preaches and leads by example - not an easy thing to do when it comes to displaying your failures and set-backs however successful you are in overcoming them. This is worth a read just for the courageous narrative, strong message and sense of hope. It helps readers think about their own situations regardless of whether they take the "inspired steps" or not; just ticking the '"I'm not alone" boxes goes a long way to self awareness. I might even be inspire to take a few steps myself.

First, Thank you LibraryThing for the early review copy. Second, I had to overcome the feeling of "Oh, no, here's more of the Secret-Law of Attraction-Power of Now stuff". I mean, they are all great books etc., but how many ways can to really say the same thing? Well, Lisa Nichols said it in another way and used her personal story to drive the points home. She did an excellent job. If you haven't read the mentioned books, you can do justice by picking up 'No Matter What' and let Lisa Nichols guide you to a better sense of your well-being in 9 sensible steps.

Lisa Nichols, motivational speaker, teacher, author and inspirational role model, has given us a great gift with her book, NO MATTER WHAT!: 9 Steps to Living the Life You Love. She guides and coaches the reader through the emotional obstacles we place along our life paths to a more fulfilling future of promise and success. Her lessons are common sense things--not necessarily new ideas, but told to us in a refreshingly honest voice that had me nodding my head time after time, seeing myself in the pages. I thought this was a wonderful book, filled with many strategies to help those who are seeking a personal well-being that has been eluding them. Through close self-examination and hard work, Ms. Nichols lays out what she calls "action steps"--tips and techniques that guide us to a healthier and happier self and help strengthen our soul and our "character muscles."We all have weak areas in our lives that can always use closer scrutiny and motivation to improve. NO MATTER WHAT! is just the tool to help each of us look to our futures and not regret our pasts. Well done and highly recommended. A nice reminder that the energy we put out to the world can, and does, affect our well being in every way.

This book gets you into the “Rocky Balboa” mindset, and actually makes you realize that “No matter what”, if you go after the life you want, you will eventually make it.

I am very, very late at reviewing this book I received as an Early Reviewer, and I'm really sorry I didn't read it sooner, it's actually quite a good book. The author has an enthusiasm that I really enjoyed, and the way the book is set up makes it an easy read, with little exercises scattered throughout the book. Now, I can't say that the book changed my life, but given that I've read more "self help" books than I can count, it did actually offer some tips and ways of looking at things that I hadn't really considered before. And best of all it offered practical advice on how to change your attitude and thinking, as well as the way you interact with other people. It will still take work to build the life you want, but I'm willing to keep this book around, and try the advice when I need that extra little kick in the pants to get back on track with my life instead of just giving up. I was also pleasantly surprised that despite the fact she appeared in the movie The Secret, this book wasn't about just "wishing" your way to a better life.

Lisa Nichols shares her very personal failures and triumph in this book. I can only imagine how dynamic she must be in person because her strength and voice come right off the page. Although I was unable to relate to many of the stories, having gone through nothing as dramatic in my life, I can see how developing our 'bounce-back muscles' can lead anyone to a more fulfilling life. I admit that I read straight through the book without doing the exercises the first time around but I do plan to go back and work through each chapter more fully to see how I can apply some of Lisa's wisdom to my life. I have a feeling that the exercises will be uncomfortable and I will feel ridiculous working through some of them but being truly honest in examining one's life is not an easy task.

Lisa Nichols has been both brave and thoughtful in her book No Matter What! Brave because she is quite honest and open about her experiences with some fairly nightmarish life situations. Thoughtful in that she goes to great lengths not only to tell her own story, but to provide thorough, descriptive and understandable exercises for self-reflection and personal problem solving. I will confess to getting a little weary of the details and wonder if some of Lisa’s story and problem-solving approaches might just translate better in a workshop setting than in written form. Having said that, almost any reader is certain to find one or two real gems that will help them to gain some personal insight into their own behaviours and attitudes. A book I will likely return to...
