About this audiobook

Ever since an accident turned her into a knockout vamp, Elvi Black's been catching her z's in a coffin, staying out of the sun, and giving up garlic. She knows there's more to being undead than what she saw in Dracula, but she can't very well ask her mortal friends about proper biting etiquette. But when her neighbors placed a personal ad for her in the local paper, she never imagined she'd meet Victor Argeneau, a vampire who could have his pick of any woman—dead or alive.

Rich, powerful, and drop—dead gorgeous, Victor's the perfect man for a novice neck—biter like Elvi. He's willing to teach her everything he knows, but he'll have to do it fast. Someone's out to put a stake through her new vamp life, and only Victor can keep her safe—and satisfied—for all eternity.

I'm not going to "review" this book here, I'm just going to say that I LOVE this series. She's one of my favorite authors. Her characters are interesting and vary in personality, unlike some other authors whose characters are all the same from book to book.

Book 7 in the Argeneau Vampire series. This is another great book by Lynsay Sands. Its about a girl who accidentally gets turned into a vampire after an accident. She goes back to her home town and they all know her "secret". The town decides she needs a mate and they put adds in the personals looking to hook her up with another vampire. There are some comical parts like when she discovers she can eat, not have to sleep in a coffin and doesn't have to give up garlic. One of the Vampires that answer her ad helps her discover how vampires really live. In the meantime someone is out to kill her. They have no idea who it could possibly be. This was a fun read and I enjoyed the characters. I would recommend this as a good paranormal fun read.

Nice lightweight romantic fantasy. The main character is a bit to whimsical and illogical to be believable sometimes, but it's funny and easy to read.

This story was not quite as good as the others I have read but still enjoyable. It had a few laughs in it. Ellen Stone (Elvi Black) is an accidental vampire, she was turned when she received blood from a vampire accidently when they were injured in a car accident so she woke up knowing nothing. Her best friends Mabel and Teddy are looking out for her and are trying to find her a vampire companion. Mabel goes as far as putting an ad in the paper which brings her to the attention of The Vampire Council who send Victor Argeneau to find out what is happening. He finds he can't read her which means she is his lifemate. He just has to convince Elvi of that and hope that the competition goes away.

Two Minute Review for “Accidental Vampire” by Lynsay SandsI was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. The one other book I read by this author was rather boring. This however was pretty good. I enjoyed Elvi Black’s character. Her life is interesting and her extended family is really sweet and interesting too. The main hero, Victor is rather what you would expect, handsome, grumpy and rich. I confess, I liked Edward, he seemed like a jerk. But at least he seemed human and a little more real. Elvi’s food emergencies are great fun.

When Victor Argeneau is sent to investigate a rumor of a young vampire woman claiming to be wanting a lifemate. As cover he is part of a group of other vampires answering the ad in the paper. However he never thought that he would find his actual lifemate on a mission he council sent him on. Elvi, after being turned a vampire and not remembering how it happened, has little knowledge about it. But when she finds out that her closest friend put a ad in the paper and that there is a group of vampire men out for her hand, so is at a loss, until she meets up with Victor, whom she is drawn to more than any other. She finds out things about herself that she never knew before. Victor having met the beautiful and enticing Elvi, just wants to protect her more from the council than anything. After hearing that she has bitten mortals, and that the whole town seems to know of her true identity, he knows that she maybe be sentenced to die, especially with Lucian at the helm. What he didn't expect was to fall in love with her and hopes that he can find a way to save her life.I have just loved reading this series, and as I haven't read Victor's story, I was happy that I finally got around to it. It was such a fun one to read, with pure wit. I just loved the story line and the characters within this story. Like all of Sands stories and especially this series, they are fun and full of romance and great plots. The Accidental Vampire comes out on top for one of her best stories. Elvi is beautiful, smart, and caring, and has no idea how to really be a vampire. But as Victor shows her the ropes and the rules, she finds herself falling in love with him, which she never expected, but had hoped for. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and flipping the pages as fast as I could read them. Definitely leaves her reader yearning for more romances like this one.

Elvi Black is exactly what you would expect from a voluptuous vampire. She dresses in black, shows off her curves like a femme fatale and has learned everything she needs to know about being a vampire from the Dracula movies. That probably is why she has raised eyes in the council with an ad searching for a vampire companion hits the papers.

Victor Argeneau has been sent to investigate the vampire who dares breaks the vampire laws. He had not expected to find that she had several other suitors and that she is breaking not just one law but several. As he uncovers that Elvi has no idea that the town has decided to do their own version of speed dating vampire style, he also finds himself unexpectedly attracted to Elvi.

This happened to be the first book in the Argeneau series that I read, and I loved it. Realized I never wrote a review so reread to post one and I am still loving it. Very funny and I liked that they reference the old Hollywood movies throughout.

I do like how fast I read these Argeneau books, I start them, and then I just continue until I am finished. A fast, good book.

It's book 7, but this is a series that you can jump around a bit in. Still book 1 explains the nano thing fully, sure it is explained here too so if you want to, then jump right in and read this one. The book also has a map of all the members in this big family, and this is good.

How on earth Elvi was not noticed before I do not know. Small towns I guess. Yes she is the resident vampire, now that is a nice little town I would like to visit where they are so nice against the undead who craves blood. And this is one of the fun things about this book. Elvi does not know anything about vampires. She thinks they are soulless, likes coffins and all those myths we all know so well. But these vampires are not really vampires and she will learn her lesson. She was nice, because she was so lost when it came to all of this.

Then we got the hero, Victor, who is old as dirt and comes to town as he is an enforces and Elvi, well she is breaking a lot of laws. But there will be passion, other suitors and someone else in this book will find love too. A story I really liked.

    Conclusion:
Fun and light is the word. A nice lovestory about how an accidental vampire finds love.

I'm pretty sure I bought a copy of this but this review is based on me reading a copy from the library. I loved it, the characters were a lot of fun and the relationship Ellie/Elvi had with the town she lived in was so much fun.Elvi came back from her holiday to Mexico a changed woman, well actually a vampire, with no idea how this vampirism worked and a lot of locals willing to try to help. They even go so far as to publish an ad looking for a vampire as a romantic partner for her. This ad has the local head of vampires send out his enforcer to deal with her in whatever way he sees fit, she is after all breaking the laws and what's more, the punishment for that is death.Along with Victor Argeneau there are a few more vampires coming to visit and life in this small town is about to change.I really liked the story, the characters came across as great fun and quite interesting. I'd read it again. The scenes where she found out she could eat and she could sleep in a read bed were comedy gold.

This had some great comedic timing! You can't help but feel for Elvi and her predicament. Victor and Elvi complement each other as do most of the life mate matches thus far in the Argeneau series. The repetitive nature of life mate, Atlantis nano explination has started to become overly repetitive for a series regular. Otherwise quite enjoyed this pairing!
