About this audiobook

Alyson's Noël's bestselling Immortals series has been hailed as "addictive" "beautiful" "haunting" and "mesmerizing." In the second installment, Ever can bring her family back from the dead—but only if she's willing to sacrifice the guy she loves more than life itself.

Just as Ever is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an immortal, initiated into the dark, seductive world by her beloved Damen, something terrible is happening to him. As Ever's powers are increasing, Damen's are fading—stricken by a mysterious illness that threatens his memory, his identity, his life.

Desperate to save him, Ever travels to the mystical dimension of Summerland, uncovering not only the secrets of Damen's past—the brutal, tortured history he hoped to keep hidden—but also an ancient text revealing the workings of time. With the approaching blue moon heralding her only window for travel, Ever is forced to decide between turning back the clock and saving her family from the accident that claimed them—or staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows weaker each day...

This series was an incredible disappointment. It was like a trainwreck... I couldn't put it down, not because it was enthralling to read, but because I felt a compulsion to count exactly how many times the author used the words "gaze", "peer", "squint", and a few others. Really terribly written. I am not sure how this series made it into the New York Times Bestsellers list. The storyline is similar to the twilight series, so if you've read those, steer clear of these. The storyline will seem quite redundant. What can I say? Just not very imaginative or creative, and the verbage is grueling.

Roman's voice is so annoying... but I guess that's because he's supposed to be like the creepiest antagonist ever. I like her voice though, in general. I love this series and this is an excellent book to get into to to understand what's going on in the Immortals series, but if you really want to understand the whole picture read the whole series in order and then you can read the Riley Bloom series.

After I started reading this book, I literally COULD NOT put it down. I'd get home from school and start reading, reading until I forced myself to eat and take a shower, reading until 1:32am when I finally finished it. My friends who had read this kept telling me that it was slow, not as good as the first book, yadda yadda yadda. But really, I think I finished it faster than I did Evermore. I learned to love Damen even more, instantly hating Roman for making him act so strange towards her. And I felt so bad for Ever, when she had to deal with him, with the heartbreak starting from the first night, their "Big Night", to where she ended up having to save him in the end. I hated Ever in the end. I mean I was screaming at her (metaphorically, since it was so early in the morning) to make the right choice! The obvious one at that too! But then again, she chose to be an idiot, so I am only forced to read the third and see what happens next!

This is a very interesting take on keeping children from sleeping together is the thought that mostly stays in my head throughout starting about here, through the next four books. I liked when Riley used to be in everything. But that might be because I started with Riley's book first.

I kind of like this series. It's not the most awesome series ever but it's entertaining and Blue Moon was a definite improvement over Evermore so I'm hopeful that the books will continue to get better. I like the way Alyson Noel is letting the readers in one the background a little at a time and slowly expanding the world of the immortals. I'll definitely keep reading the series. It's not one that I'll rush out and buy but I will pick the books up as I come across them at used book stores.

3.75 stars****Possible SPOILERS for the first book****Soul mates Ever and Damon are together and in love. All is going well, though Ever misses her family, and especially her sister, Riley.****END SPOILERS****But when Roman shows up at school and charms everyone, Ever can tell there is something “wrong” with him. What is he up to? I thought this was good. Have to admit, I didn’t remember much of the first book at all. I think I read it fast (it’s YA), and it just slipped my memory, but it came back as I read this one. I thought it got better as it got to the end of the book, and I will definitely be continuing the series.

Another fantasy book about immortals. I have thing for this genre.

It's almost romantic that Damen has travelled through time and space to find Ever. But its super creepy too. He's like the ultimate stalker.

    Weird.

It's a hopeless love story. Full of all kinds of hardships and tragedies.

But we all know it works out int he end.

I have just finished reading Blue Moon by Alyson Noel. Which is the second book in The Immortals series. *takes in a deep breath* What? WHAT? You... Alyson... you nearly let Damen die. YOU nearly killed him. And you had my heart racing at that moment, but at the end I was quite disappointing because Ever didn't tell Damen about the new developments in their relationship and I really wanted to see his reaction. Also how will their relationship survive? They can even barely touch...I mean the physical contact is a big part of any relationship, and after four hundred years of not doing the deed...well what can I say, things are sure doing to get interesting.
Also that jerk Roman...interesting when he will make an appearance again. I hope sometime soon so that he gets his ass kicked.
All in all I enjoyed the book except for some certain moments that I did not enjoy at all but well the story can't exactly be completely perfect because there is no such a thing as perfection because everyone has their own tastes.

Like a delicious poison. I savored the writing, the pacing, the tension despite the rotten characters: vapid, selfish Mary-Sues. It's a strange feeling, so relishing a story despite such ignoble characters.

I read this directly after the first book and I initially have some second thoughts about this book. Its enjoyable, I had a brief Elena Katherine whenever I read the flashbacks. The author creates a good environment where Ever began to feel displaced from everyone she love and things began to get creepy when she began to self-aware of her ability but Damen began to show weakness which is a mystery.

New villain, new plot twits, new secret unfolds. As the story progress Damen seems to have more layers than ever (even more than Bill Compton and Edward Cullen). The author didn't afraid to torture her characters, a trait I love in authors of romance and YA novels. However, school drama often bores me and sometimes in the middle of the story, I am just as confused as the main character. Am I back to the first book? Why he's acting that way?

Its a good continuation. The plot works, but it brings confusion since if the author wants to prolong the moment, she should have not bring Damen and Ever together in the first book because its like abstaining for the inevitable and frustration sets in soon after when there's ALWAYS something that wants them apart. Hell, they were just teens. *shook heads* drama.. drama

It was so hard to read about Damen becoming something he is not. The whole book is so depressing and sad. Everything bad that can happen to Ever, is happening. I couldn't take it. I don't know why her horror was embellished for so long. The characters are doing nothing but hurting one another. Are they going to grow and mature or just stay the mean hearted and cruel. Every time an issue came up, Ever broke into a million pieces. I was waiting for her to be the hero, take some action. Instead I kind of feel like I read a book that could be summed up in a small paragraph. The ending was hard to read too. Knowing they can never touch has put an odd spin on the series. One thing I do not like about Alyson Noel's writing is her continuous use of periods. Sentences were not complete and periods were thrown in too often. I don't understand some of the adjectives that she chooses to use. I have heard many poor reviews about this book, but I didn't think it was all that horrible. It's just not great.

Blarg. When we last saw them, Ever and Damon were both immortal and Damon's evil ex was out of the picture for good. Now Damon's pressuring Ever into sex (he has been waiting four hundred years to bed her, after all) but she's all caught up in the fact that he has four hundred years of conquests under his belt while she's still a 16-year-old virgin. A new guy named Roman shows up and everybody except Ever loves him (she's totally suspicious); Damon starts getting sick for some reason; and the whole thing is just kind of exasperating. I'd worried that the series would move toward omg twu wuv and away from the parts that were actually interesting in the first book, and so it has. It ends on a sort-of cliffhanger, and I found I simply did not care. I won't be going out of my way to continue the series.

Now that Ever is Immortal she has to figure out her powers. But, Damon's seem to be waning and he's acting strange, but then so is the whole school. I found the sequel to be fairly annoying.

This book has been on my bookshelf since 2010. Yeah I know. Since I've been in such a reading slump lately, I decided to just get some books that have been waiting in the dust out of the way. Because if not now, then when? Probably never...I was kind of nervous to read this book since I really didn't like the first book at all. And since EVERYONE seemed to be complaining about this book, I really didn't want to read it. But I had just won an arc of Fated, Alyson Noel's newest series so I thought I might as well read this before I started a completely new series. And surprise surprise...I actually liked this book. A lot. I felt that I could finally relate to Ever. *Insert gasp here* All of the stuff she went through with Damen's troubles and her friends insanity and the idea of being afraid to commit one hundred percent to a relationship was completely understandable.Damen...ugh no words. Yeah, he was sick but I'm still mad at him. And Roman! Such a creep from the beginning! I would have taken him out from the start but unfortunately he's still here.Overall, I liked this book in the series. It wasn't the best book ever but in my opinion it was better than the first. I have a feeling that I won't end up liking the rest of the series if I try to read it too soon so I'll probably end up reading the next book a year from now. :)What's next on the reading agenda? Ok, so I wasn't crazy about the first book in this series, but I found myself much more interested in this one. There were still a few things that didn't quite match up for me, and Ever makes a few really stupid decisions, but I found myself just needing to know what was going to happen next. Sometimes I get tired of the main character always knowing just what to do even in extremely dangerous, high stakes situations. So, in a way, it was kind of nice to see Ever make a huge mistake that she'll have to live with and have to deal with the resulting circumstances. Also, the book had a very Buffy the Vampire Slayer feel to it in that the perfect guy turns into a huge jerk and goes on to make her life miserable (through circumstances he can't control.) And the results of her decision are even more Buffy season 2ish. Overall, Blue Moon was much better than Evermore, and I'm hoping it just keeps getting better.

This Book is the second book in the immortals series. The book Blue Moon is about Ever and how she wishes she never met her love Damen because he hasnt been talkng to her or treating her right. So Ever wishes she has never met Damen so she talks to a girl who knows how to turn back time. Ever has a plan to turn back time to the day her parents died, and try to stop it from happening, so she would have never went to the town in California. During the Adventure of her trying to turn back time, Ever's little sister finally crosses over, and all Ever can think about is how much she wants to see her sister Riley again. That is what the book Blue Moon is about. All of the books in the Immortal series are really good, but i think this one is one of my favorite ones because new characters come in and old ones go out. It is also my favorite one because her sister luce finally sends a message to her by a picture of Ever, her sister and their dog Buttercup! This book was one of the sadest books of the series too! That is why i liked this book!

full review available at talksupe.blogspot.comI'll be honest, based on the mixed reviews I though I'd be disappointed by the series. I was even preparing to give it a 2 star review. Am I happy to be proved wrong! But at the same time I'm saddened that damsels in distress (Stupid Girl by Pink plays in the background) is more appealing and popular nowadays as compared to strong and smart females.

***NOTE MY REVIEWS OFTEN CONTAIN SPOILERS***When a new boy named Roman arrives at school, charming everyone but Ever, her whole world is turned upside down. Damen gets sick and doesn’t seem to even remember he loved her. Her friends have turned against her, even her teachers and Sabine seem to be coming down on her. Ever is left to stand on her own to figure out exactly who Roman is and just what he’s done to tear her perfect world apart. Will she discover the answer before it’s too late? Okay the main thing I didn’t like about this book was the verb tense which I find awkward to read. I went into detail about this in my previous Noel review of Evermore so I’m not going to go into detail again here. I don’t think a first person present tense will ever get a five star rating from me. It just never sits right for me reading it regardless of how popular the style is becoming with young adult writers. Obviously the name issues still bother me since most of the characters haven’t changed, though I actually do know a guy named Roman in real life, so the new character introduced here didn’t really have a name that stood out to me. And since I went into detail about my thoughts on the other character’s names in the previous review there’s really no need to go into detail about my thoughts on that in this one. The one new thing that bothered me, that isn’t a carryover from the previous novel and just a series wide complaint is while I know it’s important for a character to have strengths and weaknesses, especially weaknesses since the worst kind of character to relate to is the one who seems perfect. I think she’s going a little too far with Ever’s weaknesses in this novel. Ever is starting to appear the worst sort of naïve to the point that’s she’s just looking stupid. I can’t abide a stupid heroine so I’m actually surprised that I liked this book more than the first in the series. To give her more strengths, Noel has her friends and boyfriend treat her like total crap and have her be forgiving of all the mistreatment she receives because she knows it’s all due to Roman’s spell. I’m sorry spell or not, nobody is that forgiving. Emotions and logic are two completely different things and when it comes to forgiveness no amount of logic is going to make your emotions forgive that kind of pain. It’s just not going to happen. Besides that at least with Haven, this makes two novels where the girl has gone turncoat on Ever, is there really a point in being friends with a girl like that? On the plus side I felt the writing was better in this novel and Ever at least becomes a more fleshed out character. More of my questions about the Immortals were answered but now I’m left with a host of questions about Summerland. Though the while the lack of information still frustrates me, it’s not quite as bad as it was in the first novel. Though it does make me wonder if this world was carefully constructed before the series began and the writer is just stingy about giving us the whole background or if it’s being constructed as she goes along which is why it’s constantly leaving questions that are fundamental to understand the story. Also I didn’t understand why the visit to halls of learning in Summerland would point her to time travel if it wasn’t the answer. I mean while it would have been tragic for the love story yes, without it being the answer it kind of seems like a random thing to focus the book toward. You do receive a full story arc in the book which is always a bonus for me though the end brings a new set of problems that don’t actually get addressed in the novel and leave me curious for more. I liked the addition of the new characters Roman, who appears he’s going to be a reoccurring and multifaceted villain. Raine and Romy who are the prep school twins that I haven’t completely figured out yet were a definite bonus addition to the book. Again I’d like to see more of them in future novels but I was actually frustrated with these characters as well because they created more questions than answers. Every answer they gave was so vague I was probably more frustrated than Ever with their answers. I liked how the story didn’t revolve as much around a love story this time, but more on Ever growing as a character and learning to stand on her own without Damen to fix everything. The book was fast paced and the world is definitely evolving. After reviewing the last title I noticed a lot of reviews comparing the book to a Twilight rip-off which I didn’t really see myself, if I was going to say it came straight from another book I’d lean more toward the Vampire Diaries, but that’s just my personal opinion. I think the second installment of this novel definitely took the work in a different direction than either of those titles and I look forward to reading more in the series. Overall I’d recommend the book, it’s decently written, fast paced and the world of the Immortals is becoming more fleshed out and developed. It’s definitely a decent read.

don't understand how anyone can not LOVE this series. I'm not going to delve into too many details about this novel as it is a sequel and don't want to give anything away, but i LOVE the immortals series so far. Alyson Noel has completly changed my mind as far as disliking paranormal books and i'm starting to really get into this genre again. This book kept me enthralled and i didn't want to stop reading. A great addition to the first book, Noel introduces new characters that threaten Damen and Ever's everlasting relationship. New guy in school Roman steals Ever's friends, along with Roman, to himself and under his spell, leaving Ever to fend for herself, with two teenage schoolgirls from Summerland to help her regain her average lifestyle once again, but saving Damen from the depths of an unending abyss might mean losing his magnetizing touch for eternity.

After learning of her immortality, Ever is learning all the secrets of her new life with her eternal soulmate, Damen. Just as they're relationship is progressing, it comes to a unpredictable halt. It starts with Damen leaving Ever at the theater without a ride home one night and completely ignoring her as his girlfriend the next. Ever has no idea what has come over Damen, but he is not acting himself and she can't help but think it has something to do with the new kid Roman. There's something about him that just doesn't seem right to Ever. But as the days past Damen grows more distant, and so do Haven and Miles, Ever's best friends. As the school comes together as one, all the different groups and cliques befriend each other, Ever is alone with Roman persisting on being her friend, and then her boyfriend. Ever knows that Damen is sick, and so she turns to her Ava to help her. Together they access Summerland and there Ever begins to seek the answers to all of her questions. But as Damen begins to wither away she must act quickly if she will save her one true love. Blue Moon, the second book in the the Immortals series was an amazing book. I thoroughly enjoyed every single page. Alyson Noel surely knows how to catch readers attention and to keep them hooked. She never gives away enough to make it predictable, only enough for you to formulate your own theories as to what happens and to keep you reading to see what unfolds.

I didn’t like Blue Moon nearly as much as I liked Evermore. I felt like the story was really slow to start and then was rushed and a little confusing near the end. I definitely like Ever and some of the things that I learned about her character from this book. I can’t say the same for the other characters. I am interested to see where the story goes from here, so I will most likely read the rest in the series.

Stupid, stupid Ever. While reading this book, I wanted to reach into the pages and physically prevent her from doing such stupid things. And what's with the names in this series? Haven, Stacia, Honor, Ever -- what's wrong with normal regular folk names? Couldn't there be one Jane or Emily?All-in-all, I still think this is a pretty decent series. (Although I'm not sure how I feel about all these books with 'pre-ordained' romances. I think a girl should get a choice.) But, the ending sucked...
