I enjoyed the reading very much. It was fast-paced and gripping. Burke is chasing his nemesis who is held responsible for the death of Burke's best friend and working mate. Burke has to dig deep into the bag of tricks not only to get his nemesis dead but also to solve the problem within the NOPD which has got a mole within there row.

I loved this book. Sure it is pop lit but it I couldn't put it down once I picked it up. Every chapter left you hanging and you had to continue on. Ate it up like candy. Great character the antagonist - pure ego and heartless. I couldn't wait for him to get what was coming. First Sandra brown - maybe need to look at reading more of her when I want a fast, mindless suspenseful read .

This book was different from the other Sandra Brown books I have read. There seemed to be a lot less romance and a lot more action and mystery. I really liked it. Her characters are well rounded and the story flows flawlessly.

This is a typical book from Sandra Brown that includes abduction, FBI agents and a horrible romance. I'd recommend listening to it if you have extra time to kill.

Didn't care much for the start...got better as the book went along.

This wasn’t my favorite Sandra Brown. While Pinkie Duvall makes an especially dastardly bad guy (I don’t think he had even one redeeming characteristic), I wasn’t that taken with Burke Basile. Frankly, I thought his revenge “plan” was a little ridiculous. But there are some bright spots… I did like Remy, and Brown does a good job with the red herrings and keeping you guessing. Though I did guess who the police mole was, I was doubting myself before the final reveal. This wasn’t a horrible book, but it was certainly no Envy.
