      Besides being a Christian classic, the narrator of this book also does a really good impression of Nixon! Well done.

      Though I share neither Colson's faith nor his politics, this is a really great example of a personal redemptive memoir. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the genre.

      I would have listened to this years ago if I knew how interesting this book was. It's more like a political drama and really well-written. Both believers and non-believers can readily appreciate this book.

      Such a great read. I gained insight about political circles and how media is used. Things haven’tchanged. Great to read more personally about Nixon. Also gained insight about needed prison reform as we still haven’t gotten that right to this day. I will be reading more of his books on how to remain in Christ while walking through a shifting society. Also, The narrator was phenomenal!! I look forward to listening to more books from this narrator.

      Excellent book about Colson’s faith journey. I learned so much about the inner workings of the White House, Colson’s activities and responsibilities, and progress of the Watergate investigations. I lived through Watergate and the mass number of stories about it. But Colson’s book gives all those stories a different perspective.Most importantly, though, it teaches that there is no unredeemed and unforgiven soul that believes in Jesus Christ, no matter you’ve done. The book was uplifting.The biggest surprise for me was the interaction and care for each other that the Christian brothers showed Colson, despite their political differences and dislike for President Nixon.

      What an awesome book! Not only was the story life-altering to my own Christianity, but it changed my political views about prisons and prisoners' rights. I always thought the term "born again" meant you had to be an ultra-freaky Jesus freak, but Colson's story changed my mind.
