- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is not for prudish, conservative women. This is for the people who love hearing those," OMG, you won't believe what just did" stories from your girlfriends. Brandi has a fun, interesting life that she lives unapologetically. She has her flaws and is no where close to being perfect but she never once pretended to be and that's what makes me like her and wish that I was one of her girlfriends.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5the hashtags were super annoying ??♀️ i don’t recommend ...
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This was a really big disappointment for me. I absolutely LOVED "Drinking and Tweeting," Brandi's first book. I thought it was funny and relatable and honest. This time around, Brandi's detailed hookups become grating -- partially because she won't (or can't) name names, and partially because her sexual exploits make her seem far less relatable than she did the first time around.
Some of her contradictory statements also become irritating. She complains that all men seem to call their exes "crazy", but then goes on to refer to the fact that all men are, to some extent "douchey." I'm all for women's sexual freedom, but reading about all of her celebrity or near-celebrity f***ing just got old after awhile. I'm no prude, but I also didn't find that her added detail lended much to the overall story. It was basically just a story of one hookup after another. The only portion of the book that strayed from that was the final chapter, where she goes into more detail about her relationship with "The Latino," who viewers of The Real Housewives are already familiar with. If she could have portrayed that honesty throughout the whole book, I think I would have enjoyed it more. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed Brandi's first book, as an avid watcher of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and I did indeed purchase the second one for my Kindle. It is a quick, light, fun read, and yes, well-written. I actually could have done with less cursing, but aside from that, I certainly don't regret reading it, if for the fun dating stories she tells. What is irritating is trying to guess who the guys are!
