About this audiobook

For the sake of a dream . . . or the love of fame?

Chase Ryan and Keith Ellison set out to change the world with their films--and they are finally seeing their dreams come true. The dedicated producers are deep in negotiations with America's top young movie star to play the lead in their next inspirational movie. But life takes a sudden turn for Chase, removing him from Jeremiah Productions permanently. In the process, Keith brings on one of the Baxter family members and the moviemaking continues.

At the same time, a crisis hits Keith's daughter, Andi, and Keith feels helpless to respond.

Devastated by the consequences of her wrong actions, Andi ventures out on her own and decides on a course of action that could destroy her. Meanwhile, Bailey Flanigan is caught up in her own drama with Cody Coleman. A Campus Crusade retreat gives them time alone along the shores of Lake Monroe and lets them face a possibility they've avoided for years.

Will Keith keep the passion he had at the start of his filmmaking--and will there be enough passion left over for his hurting daughter? Or has their quest to change American culture become nothing more than a quest for fame?

Outstanding! I love everything about this book. Could identify with Andi and also with Bailey. I love Karen Kingsbury. I couldn’t find “Take Two” but Karen filled me in. Looking to read Take Four now…

I have not read the previous two books in this series, but I have read others about the Baxters and Flanigans so I knew who most of the characters were. I find it hard to keep all the Baxter grandkids straight as far as who their parents are, but that is not what this story focused on. This story focused on a college student's unplanned pregnancy, another college student's staying with a "safe" guy when she really wanted to be dating another guy but wasn't sure if he liked her in that way, and the trials and travails of the production company as it celebrates a successful first movie and tries to set up the making of a second movie.

Karen Kingsbury has the ability to make you feel these are real people and you could visit with them and want them as friends and neighbors. These people don't always have happy endings and life does not always go the way they planned, but Christ is central in their lives and that is what gets them through the tough times. In this story Bailey and her roommate Andi are two of the central characters. Bailey needs to decide if her relationship with her boyfriend is what she wants, or if Cody will ever be able to see her as more than a friend. Andi has some tough decisions to make also and I appreciated the final outcome and decision she makes at the end. The movie making team of Chase and Keith also has some hard decisions to make - like what is more important, making movies or keeping your marriage and family together. I enjoyed this story, as well as the whole series and will patiently wait for book 4 to come out!

Not as preachy as other books by her but I was disappointed that the major plot twist was so predictable for Christian books. Angels may be real but in books, their "appearance" seems so contrived.

A story about how doing the right thing often comes with a price, but in so doing, although the cost exacted is high, the blessing is that one can face the future with no regrets.
