About this audiobook

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explosive series bursting with the Texas flavor, edge, and steamy romance of Friday Night Lights.

In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.

Dallas Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.

But life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.

Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.

Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.

And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.

The audio is super choppy, to the point that I couldn’t even finish chapter 1 and it stay the same through the whole book.

Adorable! I had a smile on my face the entire time listening to this story. The male narrator is top notch, the female took some getting used to. (First time ever I preferred the male narrator’s female impersonation to the female’s male voices.) it’s a well written book and there’s some depth to it, the characters are loveable. Great easy listen.

Dallas Cole hates football, her father raised her and she always came second to his coaching. But when she dates a football player in high school, and got her heart-broken, she knew that she could never be with anything that was connected to the sport. She is determined to focus on her studies and her dancing. Football is her past, and dancing is her future. When her roommate drags her to a party, she finds herself in a bad position, facing her ex, and she meets Carson McClain. Carson, loves football, and will do anything to succeed. He needs the scholarship so he can stay in college, and he needs to focus all of his attention on his classes and football…he can’t afford any distractions…and Dallas is one big distraction. But he can’t resist her, and on one evening where they share the most sensual kiss of his life, he definitely knows he is about to be tested, because not only is she smart and sexy, there is one problem….she is the Head Coach Cole’s daughter, and if they are found out it could mean he can’t play football anymore. The Hero Carson McClain, needs to succeed at Rusk University…this is his only chance to make something of himself. All he knows if farming and football, he doesn’t believe he can do anything else. Carson is driven to become more than he is. Carson is willing to do whatever it takes to make it on the team, no matter how many hours he has to train and lift weights, or run…he will do anything. Carson is a hero to love, he has such drive and passion, to be good at something. He doesn’t have much self-esteem at first, but as his confidence builds, he starts to believe he has talent…and that he can do something more than farming. I love how determined he is…I mean boy is he determined to do what needs to be done. The Heroine Dallas was raised by her father, a father whose sole attention was on football rather than raising his daughter. She has always felt like she was second to everything else in his life. Her mother abandoned her when she was little, and her father refuses to let her even leave the state to go to a New York dancing school, but keeps her here in Texas, at a university he approves of, and is coaching at. Dallas knows he is just being over protective, but she wants to dance professionally, and in order to do that she needs to leave Texas and go to a program that will be a benefit to her. Dallas is more reserved and focused. What I enjoyed about Dallas is when she wants to she can relax and have a good time…with the right people. I enjoyed seeing her stand up to her father through the story, and fight for what she wants in her life.Plot and Story Line This is first book in a fabulous New Adult series that just has me hooked. I have been wanting to try this author out for quite a while, and so I finally got the first book, and already bought the other two books in the series after reading this one….I loved it that much. What I enjoyed about this one…its not your typical New Adult romance…there is some conflict and drama, but its the type that you can easily relate to. I felt a kinship to Dallas, she is smart and talented, but not the most outgoing person in the world, she is more reserved and doesn’t mind keeping to herself once in a while…I totally related with her on that level. The hero just won my heart from the beginning, you see how much he is struggling to be something more, and he has compassion and a drive to admire. He doesn’t let anyone get him down and is so stubborn and I loved seeing his truer qualities shine through in this story. We definitely see a caterpillar blossom into a butterfly (star football player), he has what it takes to succeed and it was so fun to see him do it. The romance is sweet and romantic, and they do deal with some conflict, but they also come together when it matters most, and fight for each other…everything you need in a solid romance!!The Cover I like it quite a bit…its a bit different, but many New Adult covers now are…I love the pose, its like they are so well fit together, they just relax into each other. It hints at the friendship they build throughout the book.Overall View All Line Up is a friendship to lover romance….a story to know and love, a truly emotional and tender story. TRULY UNFORGETTABLE!!

I love sport romances, and have been in the mood to grab for some. All Lined Up was perfect. It was a quick, cute, and fun read. I loved how it involved Football and dance. I absolutely loved Carson! This was well worth the $1 I found it for as I ended up reading it in one sitting. I really want to find some of the other books in the series.

Great NA read that I loved! Well written and filled with tons of great characters that promise to make this a great series. In this first installment Dallas Cole is excited about her first year at college until her father takes the head coaching job at the university she is attending. She hates football. She's always been second best to the game and has had her heart crushed by a player so she vows to keep her life separate. After meeting Carson McClain at a frat party she is sure this will be a great year until she finds out he is on the team. If you enjoy NA, put this one on your must read list. I recommend it.

It was an okay book. It's just that, I felt like the story line was pretty flat. There was no big conflict or anything.

Cora, you rocked this book! It was the perfect mix of angst, humor, sexual tension, self hatred and football; DUH. You obviously know our stuff when it comes to college football: the feeling on game day, the lengths athletes punish and condition their bodies in order to be at peak shape just to do what they love. And while that's a weird thing for me to focus on in a book review, I have SO MUCH respect for authors that write what they know, not just what they think everyone wants to read.

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie TalesQuick & Dirty: All Lined Up is one of those stories that makes you wish you could fall in love all over again!!! I loved everything about this story and can’t wait to read more from this series!Opening Sentence: In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. The Review:Dallas Cole has spent her the last few years of her life trying to get away from football. Growing up she was raised by her single father that had a career as a football coach. They moved around every few years whenever there was a new coaching opportunity. Then she ended up dating football players and that also never turned out well, so Dallas has decided to swear off anything that has to do with football. She thought that college would be her chance to start over, but instead of being able to go to her dream college to study dance her father convinces her to stay close to home and attend Rusk University. Her father also happens to be the new head football coach so it seems that college is going to be a repeat of high school. Then Dallas meets Carson at a random party and it seems that maybe things won’t be as bad as she thought. But as luck would have it, Carson is the backup quarterback and Dallas has promised herself that she will never make the mistake of dating another football player.Carson McClain has just transferred to Rusk University in hopes of eventually getting a football scholarship. He comes from a poor family and has never really been all that great at school. Pretty much the only thing he has ever been good at is football so to prove that he deserves to be first string, he works harder than anyone else. He doesn’t have time for distractions, especially not the kind that comes in the form of a beautiful redhead that happens to be the coach’s daughter. But no matter how hard he tries he just can’t seem to stay away and it may cost him everything he has worked for.I totally loved Dallas, she was a very easy character to love and connect with. She is brutally honest and doesn’t take crap from anyone, which I really admired. She was an easy person to sympathize with and some of the things she deals with were similar to things I dealt with when I was her age. I also really loved the relationship she had with her father, it reminded me a lot of the relationship I had with my own father growing up, which made me understand her on a deeper level. She also had some faults like the fact that she let some of her past experiences keep her from letting people into her life because she was afraid of getting hurt again. But as the story progressed you got to see her open up and discover so much about herself. In a lot of ways this was a coming of age story for her and I really enjoyed reading about her journey.Carson pretty much had me at hello. From the moment I met him, I was completely taken with how sexy and sweet he was. His work ethic was crazy good and the determination he had to succeed even when the odds were against him made me really respect him. Also, the way he treated Dallas was adorable. They had amazing sexual chemistry but they also were very compatible in a lot of other ways as well. I am going to admit that Carson reminds me a lot of my husband because not only does my husband have blue eyes and dark hair, his name also happens to be Karson. But that’s not the only reason I liked him, but it obviously didn’t hurt! I think he was the perfect love interest and I totally swooned over him!All Lined Up was a beautiful story that really captured the whole experience of discovering yourself and falling in love for the first time. From the first page I was hooked and I loved pretty much everything about this story. Personally, I am a huge college football fan so of course that was a huge plus for me. I also really enjoy all the different relationships that were explored throughout the book. While the romance was a huge part of the story, it wasn’t the only plot point present. Speaking of the romance, it was done perfectly. It developed slowly and realistically, but it was also full of tension and drama. This is actually my first book by Carmack but rest assured it will not be my last. I can’t wait to dive into the companion novel that is coming out this fall!!! Suffice to say this was a great read and I would highly recommend it to all new adult contemporary romance fans!Notable Scene:“Oh, Daredevil,” he murmurs. “I like you.”I like it when he calls me that. My stomach swoops low in my belly in approval and anticipation. This time, I kiss him, and his lips press back against mine so hard that a jolt of something coils down my spine. The hand at the back of my neck tightens, and his hand rests lightly against my knee. I know he must feel it shaking.I can’t decide if him being a virtual stranger makes this kind of intimacy more or less terrifying. His lips open against mine, his breath fanning over my skin, and I think more terrifying, definitely.FTC Advisory: William Morrow/Harper Collins provided me with a copy of All Lined Up.
