- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5#4 "One picture is worth a thousand screams."An evil cursed camera? No that couldn't be real, right? Greg and his three friends are about to find out.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I Have actually read the Paperback Version Of This Book and I wanted to try out the Audiobook and to be honest it did not disappoint me. I loved it to the core. The narration is great and it kept me hooked. The background music added to its charm. Just Amazing.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It's a camera! That takes pictures of how you'll die! AND THEN YOU DIE!
omg! - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5One of those good idea plots with a rather bland execution. The characters are there but I ended up feeling nothing for them and in the end the stakes just weren't raised enough to break a sweat. Love the idea, don't really love the book's execution of it.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Greg and his friends, bored, decide to explore the old Coffman house. It's been abandoned for as long as they remember, in general disrepair, and a weird looking homeless man they call Spidey hangs out there.
In the basement, Greg discovers a camera hidden behind a secret panel. Though he knows he shouldn't, he takes it. When he takes a picture of his friend, Michael, the developed photo shows Michael falling through the air. Moments after the photo is taken, the railing Michael had been leaning against breaks, and he falls to the basement floor. Can the camera take pictures of the future?
The fourth book in R. L. Stine's Goosebumps series, Say Cheese and Die! is a little different from the first three. Rather than focusing on a pair of protagonists, Say Cheese and Die! has a group of four: Greg, Michael, Doug (who they call Bird), and Shari.

In terms of story, I think that Say Cheese and Die! is the best Goosebumps book so far. The characters are a little flat, but the camera and the trouble it causes were interesting enough to keep that from detracting from my enjoyment of the book. It's definitely worth a read. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5An interesting supernatural or slightly science fiction story, depending on what you make out of the book, it nevertheless tells a tight story, albeit a simple one. I remember Doug Arthur aka Bird, Micheal Warner, Shari, and Greg. In the first few pages they all get equal screen time, and only later do Shari and Greg take center stage. The details here work to a large extent because the author delays just right before the evidence of magic or science gone bad reveals the plot. The first act is better than all three acts of the previous book, Monster Blood. The book cover doesn't give as much of the premise as you'd think. R.L Stine writes in a way that should - but won't - shame fan fiction writers who use every ounce of flowery lyrics at their beck and call - of which yours truly is not guilty because ah, I don't write fiction. If it's good enough for a successful writer, I'm fine with it. It's a sort of reverse artistic license. The author reins in his wordsmith prowess for the benefit of the masses. We can all imagine what Stephanie Meyer or Neil Gaiman is reining, for different motives...The inspiration for this evil camera feels like it has roots in Poe, as usual as it is for non zombie lore. Suspense is the key here, instead of lurid bloodbaths. The author provides a few twists, abetted by Bird. You'll have to read to find out. I like the sanitized children from the Goosebumps universe because they seem suddenly real when appearing in the foreground of grim menace. I happen to think that good authors don't imagine characters they can or want but what they need. By that I mean that the foursome kids here would appear flat and two dimensional even in an Enid Blyton book. However they work very well here, given the magical and retributive roller coaster tale.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book is about a group of friend that were really bord and disited to brake into an old house. When they got inside it was old and very dusty, then a guy named Greg found a camra. He frist counldn't wait until he used it, but when he did it was very strang. He took a picture of one of his friends all silly and when he came to see it, when the stairs broke out and he fell and hurt his anckle. But when they looked at the picture it showed his friend falling, not it the pose he took of him. Greg was surprised and thught maybe the camra was broken. When he started takeing more pictures, the samw thing would happen. He would take the picture. THen the people he took a picture of got hurt some how and thats what should up in the picture. Greg was getting worried so when he was going to put it back in the house. He ran into to huge guys that wanted his camra. He couldn't let them so he ran. When he went back into the old house, he saw an old man that told him about how the camra was cearst, and how Greg can never leave. Then Greg took a picture of the old man an he die, because he was scared to death. When everything was at peace again, the supriseing happens. The two huge guys that wanted the camra followed Greg and got the camra and started taking pictures. I liked this book because I always wanted to see what happened next. The camra was a really good idea for this book because I never read anything like it. It was a real surprise the whole time I read. It was very interesting, to me. I hope to read Say Cheese and Die Again!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Say Cheese and Die is the fourth book in the Goosebumps series and in this volume we meet four friends who live in Pitts Landing (Greg, Shari, Michael, and Doug) and as we join them they are hanging out in a driveway lamenting how lame (and incredibly boring) Pitts Landing is...as they wander down the street desperately trying to come up with something interesting to do...when they encounter the old Coffman house and decide that the best way to beat the days doldrums is to sneak into to this creepy and abandoned house and have a look around and that's when all the trouble starts. Down in the basement they discover that Spider (a creepy homeless guy known around town for dressing all in black) is living there and Greg makes an extra special discovery...a hidden cabinet and a camera. When Spider unexpectedly crashes their little adventure the foursome scram out of there with the camera. Greg and gang figure finders-keepers...but there's something not quite right about the camera...every picture that Greg takes with it comes out wrong. It isn't until later that the group begins to discover just exactly how special the camera is and exactly what horrible fate is in store for them as a result of using it. Will they be able to right what is wrong? What will Spider do to them? You'll have to read to find out! Overall I liked Say Cheese and Die, though it suffers from the same drawbacks that other books in this series suffer. The stories are so short that characterization is all but nonexistent and the build up happens really, really fast. I suppose that this is good, considering the age range for the stories and the ending does have the characteristic twist that Stein seems to strive for in all of his works. I give it a B+.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The story deals with 3 kids who go into a house. They find a secret compartment wit a camera in it. They take pictures of the weird things that occur in the house. Read to find out what things they take pictures of and how it effects the characters. -S.J
