    Callis Rose is a girl blessed with a gift from above or cursed with a ruthless power she barely understands; it's really just a matter of degrees. As her family life is turned asunder she is thrown into an indifferent social services program where she defends herself the only way she knows how.
    Callis is moved from home to home until she finally settles at the Lowries'. As she starts her first day of high school she meets both her favorite and least favorite person.     Mark Tufo was born in Boston Massachusetts. He attended UMASS Amherst where he obtained a BA and later joined the US Marine Corp. He was stationed in Parris Island SC, Twenty Nine Palms CA and Kaneohe Bay Hawaii. After his tour he went into the Human Resources field with a worldwide financial institution and has gone back to college at CTU to complete his masters.       If you read zombie fallout then this would take place before and would be part of BA's story line as he is involved in the story when he was a police officer. I liked this book, to me it was like a mix of a bunch of other books all rolled into one. Mean girls picking on the new girl. Then love story with the jock who stands up for her.. oh and the powers of mind control! Let the fun begin...
