The counter-terrorist group Taskforce and Pike Logan and assigned to locate an assassin’s trail before he attempts to kill an American envy sent to the Middle East to negotiate a possible peace treaty. With the assistance of his partner Jennifer Cahill, they get more than they bargained for. It begins with a nightmare that Pike has about his wife and daughter being murdered. What a way to grab the reader’s attention. While in the Middle East with his partner Jennifer they are sent to investigate what eventual is an attack on am American envoy. The keeps the action flowing and the characters are realistic (not superhuman). And not to add any spoilers, there is a wrench thrown in that adds to the whole reading experience. I am not one that reads a lot of stores that revolve around the Middle East, but this one I enjoyed and enjoyed the character of Pike and what the Taskforce is meant to stand for. Will certainly read more of Brad Taylor’s novels.
