- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Thanks to whoever decided to bring the book in audio format!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love Alan Watts. This is a great book and I love listening to it every so often. Just to remember I am it :D
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great to listen to Alan-----i heard him on radio during the haight-ashbury days in 1966 and 1967 and the groups he invited to his houseboat in sausalito were awesome gatherings of those who loved him dearly. A standup philosopher/comedian he would call himself and what a speaker of that which could not be spoken. You can still hear him speak on you tube. Thank you Scribd for making these books available.
btw-----he did not die in 2020 ...wish it were so! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I felt like this was written last week. A masterpiece
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5As relevant today as it was when published in 1966. It is a very expansive work and If you listen with an open heart you will begin to feel the non-dual state that Watts writes about.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a very deep book, and all about your role in the world and why humans seem to struggle with fundamental views of their place in the world. I found myself much at peace after reading it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is a good book if you haven’t thought much about philosophy before. I do think that he tells a lot of obvious reflections that is not thought provoking at all like he just wrote the secret to everything. Then he talks about people from the western civilianisation for living meaningless lives, just because they choose to work hard and plan for the future, because he thinks the no one lives in the now. With all respect to Allan Watts, there is nothing wrong with having ambitions and try to better your own conditions and the world from working hard on a business. Just because you find yourself in a western business doesn’t mean you are automatically ruining the world
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely brilliant if understood, much like this life. Thank you, Alan.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Good book, but bad narration. His voice quickly fades at the end of words and sentences, making it hard to hear them.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just don't let yourself be mislead by all the new age hippy marketing speak around it. It has nothing whatsoever to do with that. It's elementary.
