I would have given this a 4 but the ending left me hanging. I wish she had wrapped things up more and not left it so open ended... it seemed abrupt.

What makes.a best Selling book? Some readers might say, intriguing, romance or well researched but I love a great narrative. This book has wit and snappy dialogue in every chapter. Great read for a vacation!

The town of Moses Lake and its people are growing on me. This main character in this story, Mallory, was a person I enjoyed getting to know and watching her grow into a woman I was very pleased with. Liked the mystery in this story also.

After the first few chapters I really did fall in love with the characters. At first the book was kinds of slow and I had a hard time getting into it and I wanted to give it a far shot so I stuck with it and I am glad that I did. Once I was about half way through the book I started to get into the book and it picked up. The author does a great job describing placing and I loved how one of the main characters starts writing a blog. I was overly fond of the ending but all in all it was a good book.

Wow, never thought I would be sucked into the book from page one! I absolutely loved this book, and wished I did not miss the other two books in the series. Lisa catches your attention with her writing her details are awesome!Mallory and Nick are the main focal point in this book. Mallory not only becomes a new wife, but a mother, as she adapts to her surroundings, you can understand the humor side of everything. She is so heartfelt, and her character is so down to earth. She takes on everything full force, even with her husband Nick by her side.Nick is so sweet, and surreal. Nick’s boss makes the book a mystery that you never thought you would end up on, and for me that was the page-turner in itself. I would definitely recommend this book!

This book took me awhile to get finished. It is not one that draws you in and holds attention, or makes you scream for more. It is the story of up and comer Capital HIll intern Mallory who fell head over hills in love with Daniel. Daniel has a son, Nick, and soon they are thrust into marriage, a new family and a move to secluded and mysterious Moses Lake. There are parts of the story that are compelling and the story of Mallory's faith is the best part. I cant say I loved this story, but I finished it and for most part enjoyed it.

Mallory Hale is making a life for herself in her way. Instead of resting on her dad's name and fame, Mallory is working her way up the ladder in Washington DC. Things change on a fateful day when she runs into a handsome stranger. Soon Mallory finds herself doing the unexpected- rushing to marry, becoming a step-mom, and packing it all up to move to a remote town in Texas. Her husband's new boss is a strange man with a mysterious past. When the boss's son comes to town, things get even stranger. Mallory will find herself on the adventure of a lifetime without even realizing. This book took some interesting turns I didn't see. I was really unsure of where book was going really as the romance was very quick. The author does a really good job of making you feel Mallory. The loneliness of being in a new town combined with a small town where everyone knows each other can be particularly hard. Mallory is so different from everyone else in Moses Lake. You are able to really feel how alone she truly is in the beginning. I also like that Mallory's preconceived notions were really challenged. She clearly felt she was above all the people in town when in actuality she needed them more than anything. I particularly enjoyed Mallory's neighbor Al. She was a no-nonsense kind of girl with her own past. She was a fun character. The book takes a long, languishing path to it's end. At times I almost felt it was on the verge of dragging some, but the author seemed to manage to avoid that for the most part. I also really loved all the quotes at the beginnings of the chapters. There were some great things written there that I really took to heart. At the heart of this book is the idea that God uses each of us in specific ways we may never quite understand. Each small thing can add up to one amazing thing. I loved that idea and the way it was presented in the book. The ending I both managed to guess and not see coming. Overall I enjoyed this book. It was a great slice of small town life and all the good and bad that goes with it. Book provided for review.

She is Smitten, in one meeting! When Daniels life is suddenly changed with a new job offer in Texas...they know they are meant for each other, and decide to marry and make a family of three. Daniel has a precocious 3 1/3 year old son, Nick.Nick is so adorable, and you will fall in love with him. Daniels boss Jack West, leaves Mallory with uneasy feelings. Things are very different at Moses Lake TX...almost sounded like a resort...not! Wait until you see the house and experience living in it with them. There are other loveable characters in this book, and they seem to be there for those in need, even when they disagree. Enjoy your visits at the Waterbird Cafe, and Mallory's experience as a Mother of a little boy! What starts out as a love story, ends up being also a big mystery!I found this book to be a very quick read, and I just had to find out what happens next.I received this book through the Litfuse Blog Tours Program, and was not required to give a positive review.
