About this audiobook
Laura Doyle's marriage was in trouble. After five years, her husband had become distant. He seemed checked out of their relationship, preferring watching TV to making love. There were frequent fights that ended with tense silences and even threats of divorce. Marriage counseling actually made their problems worse. Each session seemed to reinforce the feeling that she and her husband were just too far apart.
Desperate to avoid divorcing the man she loved, Laura tried something different. Rather than consulting with experts or professionals, she simply started talking to women who'd been happily married for more than fifteen years. What she discovered shocked her: Everything she had heard in marriage counseling was wrong. Laura realized that there are basic truths that can help women maintain loving, intimate marriages.
After seeing her own marriage transform, Laura set out to help other women do the same. In this book, you'll learn Laura's "Six Intimacy Skills," which have been used by over 150,000 women who have transformed their previously unhappy marriages into blissful unions.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing and magical
Real eye opener
Serious change from the first few pages - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5People may find her theories controversial as they focus on what the wife can do, nothing about the husband. But I’ve practiced them for about 6 months and the impact on my marriage and husband has been incredible. The culture in the marriage starts w the woman and through Laura’s teachings we can become better partners to our husbands and stop controlling or being critical. Understandably our husbands then respond like magic, and they become better partners and men. I cannot recommend this book and the Surrendered Wife enough. Thank you Laura Doyle!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great advice given by Laura Doyle Well narrated. Would recommend.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This book is strictly for women. The first 2 chapters pretty much just bashes on marriage counselors. And then the rest of the chapters talks about femininity. I tried to listen to the audiobook thinking that maybe I could learn something from it even tho it was for women, but as a man, I just couldn't relate to any of the talk about femininity, and gave up after chapter 3 or 4...

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Worth reading - many women may take offence but if you sit, think, and be completely honest with yourself you’ll know that a LOT of what she says about women is completely true.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I want to read it again to make sure I get every nugget of information. I saw a change the first day after I gave my husband a heartfelt note then tried to start incorporating the things I learned. He asked me who am I talking to or what am I reading? I haven't told him but I asked him if he liked it and he said yes!! This has been one of the best finds at the right time that I have stumbled upon! Can't wait to read the other books.
