      "Sometime I feel like there's a hole inside of me, an emptiness that at times seems to burn. I think if you lifted my heart to your ear, you could probably hear the ocean.... I have this dream of being whole. Of not going to sleep each night, wanting. But still sometimes, when the wind is warm or the crickets sing... I dream of a love that even time will lie down and be still for." Quote from Practical Magic. I know probably wondering why on earth I would post a quote from a movie for a review. Well I finished this book, and this was immediately stuck in my head. Amber and Liam are this love that time will lie down for. This is young adult novel, but it is so incredible deep that all ages will love it. This is not your first love story, but rather a TRUE LOVE STORY! I was blown away by this carefully and intricately crafted story that flows through these pages. The hidden meaning and deep emotion wrapped around every thought and action is incredible. Even for Liam being the neighbor; after climbing into Amber's bed the first time he had agreed to share her life. Even at the age of ten he was devoted to her accepting all of the pain and torture of abuse was not her's alone, but theirs to share. Which unfolded into a story of hope and love, and the proof that people really can overcome their pasts. I was awed, but the obvious talented displayed in Moseley's writing. Jake, Liam, and Amber are all very close; so effectively writing a story that consistently carries them all was difficult, but this incredibly talented woman did it. Not only did she do it, but she perfected it! Not once did I feel a shift amongst the characters. Leaving readers concerned by every development in the book, and how it will effect everyone involved. What I had expected to be primarily a love story ended up being so much more. It almost carries story within a story, within a story feel to this book. Amber and Liam will struggle obstacles one after another. Although, the climatic ending is an obstacle that they all will share. I felt that this tied the story up so effectively. At first, it gave Liam and Amber time to grow with their problems, but bring them all back together in the ending seems to only enforce the bonds shown throughout the story. Almost like making a final statement that they are a unit, and that is the way they will remain. I loved every single minute of this story, and can not even being to do this story the justice in words. It is incredible and inspiring... BookWhisperer Favorite!!!

      Could use some editing for gramatical and tense errors, but I still enjoyed the story. Loved Liam and how well he treated Amber. Loved the ending and epilogue.

      Ya know what I really enjoyed this book.
      I’ve seen a review on here that was really harsh and old fashioned I think.
      Unfortunately this day in age yes teenagers do act like that, is it right? No! Is it relevant? Absolutely.
      The story was sweet and dealt with the awful subject of abuse with tact and care and I admire that.
      The narrators were great.
      I loved liams character nice to listen to a young guy with high morals and respect.
      It was a really great book.

      I really wanted to love this book, and I did love the beginning, but some weird/incorrect grammar made a couple of parts tough to get through because I had to re-read things. And I got so close to the end, then got annoyed because Amber didn't just stay at Liam's house when her dad showed up, then lost the baby. I felt bad for her and Liam, but knowing her father and also knowing she's pregnant, why take a chance and go over there knowing if he hit her she could lose the baby?! Then she kept whining about it all being her fault, and honestly, I wanted to scream yes it is! And I was disappointed that I had mostly loved the book to that point, then I was just a little annoyed that I had spent all that time reading it only to be annoyed with Amber and disappointed in the ending.

      I am not usually one to complain about grammatical errors or editing, especially not in a self-published book. I am not a Grammar Nazi nor am I a teacher. Yet, I find myself so frustrated with The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window. The over-use of commas drove me nuts. Still, I most likely could have looked beyond the commas if the author would have avoided the constant switch between US English and UK English. It drove me insane.So insane that I actually began highlighting, in my Kindle, every time slang or phrases from the UK were used. I am not speaking of the spelling differences (realise instead of realize or colour instead of color), but phrases such as "I'll take you to mine" instead of "I'll take you to my house" or "skate hire" instead of "skate rental." (The list goes on and on.) If I were setting my story in the UK and my characters were British, I would not use phrases or slang that is only used in certain regions of the US ("Ya'll," "Bless her heart," "You guys," etc). I might also point out that an author should utilize the correct slang and phrases used in the general region of the US the story is set. Regardless of popular opinion, Americans do not all have Southern accents or flat Midwestern accents. Actually, even within a region you can have hundreds of different accents, slang, and phrases used only in particular areas or cities. America is a very big country. Yet, even in smaller countries, such as England, I would not expect everyone to have the same accent or use the same slang. It is very frustrating to me, as a reader, when authors do not take the time or courtesy to research the region he or she is using for a setting in their book.The itself was somewhat far-fetched, but it is nonfiction for a reason. It does not bother me. If I wanted to read something factual, I would have read one of my nonfiction books. I may have enjoyed the book (with perhaps a bit of eye-rolling) if not for all of the misuse of the regional language.(less)

      I really enjoyed this book. Starts out as a cute little love story and then gets deeper. I didn't like how the author started changing POV's about halfway through the book. I think it should have been the whole way through or not at all. The alternating POV's did not last the last half of the book. It was sporadic. I would recommend this book though. I enjoyed it.

      I'm going to be honest here: this book is ridiculous.
      Here be lots of spoilers.

      There are so many sensitive topics crammed into it - sexual abuse, domestic abuse, rape, teen pregnancy, teen promiscuity etc - and they are all handled without any skill.

      We have a heroine, Amber, who was a victim of (almost) sexual abuse and years of molestation from her father but most thoughts she has are contradictory to that trauma. She sleeps with Liam every night, and she's perfectly fine with him "pressing his erections" into her back or whatever the exact words were. Basically, it's a whole new level of personal space invasion and she's okay (I couldn't get over this!) with it! Oh, and she hates Liam. What a way to show it! Let him press his boners into you some more, then. I HATED BEING IN HER HEAD, SO MUCH.
      She constantly refers to Liam and her brother as man-whores. The behavior of nearly everyone in this book is disgusting. 16 year old girls betting on who gets to sleep with Liam first is not normal to me.

      Liam is madly in love with Amber but can't be with her, for the stupidest reason, so he's with everyone else instead. I'm sorry, what? I just can't fathom why he just didn't tell her this, ages ago, especially since her "protective brother" who was apparently the reason they couldn't be together wasn't protective at all. You don't make a girl like you by sleeping with the whole school.

      It's been some 2 months since I read this and I still can't get over how ridiculous it is. Every time I see it on GR or wherever I get all upset about it. Out of nowhere the author switches POV and then we're in Liam's head. Completely unnecessary. Then just when I got used to it, it's back to Amber again.

      Oh, and the mother? So, she's a mother who was also a victim of domestic abuse, her husband almost raped her daughter and beat her son, and she just leaves them for really long periods of time for work? I was stunned! Even when she learns he's back in town she's like "he's back! maybe he's changed! be careful!" and off she goes on another work adventure.

      Oh, Amber eventually gets pregnant. I blame the mom of the year for not being there! Also, I blame Amber for not protecting herself when sleeping with a guy who slept with the whole school! CONDOMS! At least until he gets himself checked out. What does Liam do when he finds out that they're pregnant? He wants to give up his hockey scholarship, because he is so smart. No way in hell will he be able to better provide for his insta-family than by giving up the thing that will make him lots of money because we're led to believe he's guaranteed to go pro!

      I know this review is all over the place but after all this time I still can't be coherent about it. There is just so much that bothered me, I can't make sense of my thoughts.

      Here's the thing, I loved the idea of this book, BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I blame myself for continuing to read it once I realized how ridiculous it is. I promise you I've gotten better at DNF-ing a book after that. This was not worth the morning I wasted on it.

      WOW! I remember when Kirsty had this book posted on Wattpad a while back, and I loved it! It's great to see that she got it published. And everyone stop with the mean reviews, she's just a regular girl who authored a great book.
