- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Definitely held my attention, definitely well constructed and good character development. Plot well maintained throughout the entire book and narrator did a nice job. Could have stood a little bit more roughness, some blood-and-guts to perk it up a little bit... but all in all pretty good.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good book, engaging from start to finish. I loved the audiobook it was great. I read it in one day. Highly recommend to anyone who likes fast paced physiological thrillers. This is jennifer hilliers first book and i am reading all in order starting with the first published. ?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’m not great at writing reviews so I rarely leave one on here. I really loved the plot line and the twists and turns in this book. I’m looking forward to listening to book 2!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another great story with the perfect twist. Good read everyone!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great story! However, I would have preferred a different female narrator. Sorta threw me off to listen to a matured voice(maybe 60?) narrating a character that’s in their 30s. Narrator did a good job but that’s what I would have preferred.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Suspenseful with great character development, this book was an excellent thriller. Loved the narrator and everything about it. Can’t wait to listen to the author’s other books. Highly recommend!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Jennifer Hillier hasn’t disappointed me yet! There’s enough detail to keep me interested, without making the book too wordy, and the excitement keep going.
I really liked this book and probably would’ve given it 5 stars, but the ending was just a bit cut off for me. When I only had a handful of pages until the end and it wasn’t wrapped up I was a little nervous.
Sheila is a professor that has dealt with her own demons most of her life. When she finally meets Morris, they are perfect together and can build the perfect life, but first she has to break it off with her lover... and he does not like her new found happiness. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great book! Definitely did not disappoint. Great narrator . This is my second consecutive book by this author. The butcher was fabulous sans the narrator. Now I’m on to Freak
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5EGADS!!! Disclaimer; I only made it to chapter 4. Ok. I tried but so far this book is extremely unbelievable. Obviously in fiction we are asked to suspend reality to a certain extent but not this much. These characters are supposed to be well educated, smart people and yet we are expected to believe that they do things like divulge secrets like alcoholism and an estranged father/son relationship to a complete stranger without confirmation of motives. No one is this stupid. Also, these characters are all very unlikeable. They are extremely dishonest, morally bankrupt and well just gross. The amount of sex and profanity really adds nothing to the story. I understand that the author wants the characters to be flawed but come on. These people are train wrecks! What’s worse, they seemed completely surprised when their despicable acts have consequences. Seriously, the main character, Dr. Sheila Tao actually believes that she is the victim when her teaching assistant whom she was sleeping with tries to blackmail her with a video of them having anal sex. Why would she allow that to be recorded considering she’s about to get married and she could lose her job. A job that she expects us to believe is the most important thing in her life. I understand she made a mistake but she kept making it, and apparently felt that it needed to be recorded for posterity. If that were not enough, Shelia’s fiancé tells her stalker that he and Sheila have never had sex after being a couple for over a year. This is after said stalker puts on a disguise and goes to meet Sheila’s fiancé for a fake job interview. What kind of person confides information like that to someone they just met and is interviewing them for a job? If you like to read about smart people who are too stupid to live, go for it. I’ve rarely found a book that I was unwilling to listen to in its entirety but this one makes the cut.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This is one of the worst books I have ever listened too.
The characters are terrible.
There was. Nothing thrilling at all about this story. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was great from the beginning to the end. It kept you on your toes the whole time.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I loved how twisted each character was in their own way, they each had their own issues that contributed to the storyline. But I was a little let down, I have enjoyed some of this authors other books so much that my expectations were high. I was a bored & could see the ending coming. The last twist wasn’t very exciting especially because of the lack of development from this character in general. I

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Creep is the perfect title for this psychological thriller. It opens with Dr. Sheila Tao telling her TA that their affair is over. She is getting married to a wonderful man, Morris. Ethan is livid, and although he has a girlfriend, Abby, that he adores, he craves Sheila, and the things they do together. Ethan cannot let go of his obsession for Sheila, and takes steps to control her and expose her addiction to ruin her reputation. This all leads to a chilling ending. Quite impressive debut novel.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Meh. Sloooooowww moving plot. It was an okay read. Does the series improve in the second book?
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Creep, a thriller by Jennifer Hillier, appeared to have a lot of promise after I read the back cover. It promised to be a thriller of deadly attraction, but turned out to be a bit of a dud. In this novel, psychologist and university professor, Dr. Sheila Tao, is having an affair with her teaching assistant, Ethan Wolfe, but when she tries to break it off with him to marry her fiancé, Ethan does not want to give her up.This novel is flawed in many ways. For one thing, the writing has a lot of melodrama that feels manufactured. The characters—almost all of them but in particular Sheila—are not particularly likeable. It’s hard to get into a novel even if it has many positive characteristics, if you can’t get behind the characters and root for them. Unfotunately, this novel neither has good characters or other positive aspects to it. There was a complete lack of believability in the plot as well as the actions of the characters. I didn’t buy the whole sex addiction part, and don’t think it’s a real thing, and it sure as hell doesn’t make me sympathize with the main character. The author tries to put this big twist in at the end of the novel, but it’s completely inconsistent with the rest of the novel to the point where it feels as if the author cheats the audience. This is a very forgettable book, one I would advise skipping.Carl Alves – author of Battle of the Soul
