About this audiobook
Surrounded by enemies, the only way Katy can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don't seem entirely crazy, but the group's goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?
But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I hate cliff hangers but it's good enough to want to know what happens next.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love this book I can’t get anough of the lux series
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Always to remember Daemon Black 5 Stars JLA YOU ROCK, for me to love a series and every book in that series says a lot. I usually loose interest in the second book, and feel that the author should have stopped at book one, but with this series I was excited about every book I read, it took me a week to complete this series, and I did not sleep in that period. Daemon - is my ultimate PNR ya and bb, infuriating. Arrogant (What's not to love) ;-), then you have Katy a perfect heroine, strong and do not let anybody tell her what to do she has some insecurities, but not enough to not enjoy this series. I will Highly recommend this series for lovers of PNR. Will I read it again - FUCK YES!!!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5could not get past the first chapter
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great series but not for young teens
While I did like this story and characters a lot, it was not for a young audience. The language and detailed descriptions of the relationships in the book were not appropriate for a young audience. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Liked it, had some issues
Daemon, the hotter than hot sizzling sexy alien is blazing a trail to get to Kat. He blusters how he would burn the world to get her back but when he moves into position to get her back he kind of gets himself in the pickle jar. Yep, he's pickled, pricked, pestered, and prodded by the government goon squad. Hey he's with her so that was worth it to him. For me, not so much. I was thinking about much information he was handing over to these killers. I know he loves her, but what about his family, his people ? His devotion was precious but the potential cost made it crazy for me.
The love between the two was sweet. I wish they would have moved beyond the simple touches and giggles more but this is YA. It does ramp up a bit towards the end with a 'Swoon Worthy' in the last 20 %. Still I thought it was too tame.
The story left many things hanging. "It" hits the fan big time and nothing will ever be the same or maybe not even sane again. Discoveries made in the lab are just kind of faded away. I know they are coming back, but I'm chewing my nails wanting to know what happened. Friends die, family dies, overs unite, stuff blows up and the world changes. There you go. Now I wait for the next installment in the series. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Short notes since I dont have time to review.
- Kaiden and Anna? Pretty much made me cringe and go "these two books should never mix like this.." Although Armentrout has good taste in literature!
- The lore idea of Origins, the Luxen returning to Earth, and so forth is FANTASTIC. We should have brought this story line in earlier. Damn.
- Final book: has cliffhanger. WTF. Fighting putting a one star for this.
Ma'am Armentrout, youre a genius and this book is the most genius so far. I feel the move from YA into New Adult, and Im super excited to see where you take this world..BEST make Katy and Daemon fine again. Just sayin'.
Edit: Opposition is the final book, not Origin. THANK GOD - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This series just gets better and better! Tons of action, betrayal and romance! Everything changes in Origin and the ending left me wanting the next book NOW!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The story is progressing, the mysteries are unraveling and events are getting more exciting. I like that new characters are introduced, too bad that the existing characters don't grow. Or grow up. All that getting married in Vegas thing was ridiculous. Romantic, true, but completely and utterly ridiculous. What I enjoyed the most was the facility of mad scientists and doctors and military people doing crazy experiments and coming up with torture ideas called tests. Micah and the idea of children like him was also something I'd like to know more about. Like, where are his parents, for example.Although I liked the idea of both Katy's and Daemon's points of view, they were too similar for my taste. Often I found myself losing track of whose POV I have been reading, which obviously defeats the purpose of even introducing multiple POVs.All in all, I liked Origin the best so far and cannot wait for the next book. Still keeps me hooked, that J.L. Armentrout.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oh my! I have no words! I couldn't breathe throughout this book! Katy and Daemon went through so much apart and together. I feel wrecked with all the emotions. I don't think I have the strength to continue reading the final book. I need a pause to get myself together.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Katy is being held captive by Daedalus. Daemon is willing to do anything to get her back. As the truth about everything is revealed where will everyone stand? This book is told through the eyes of both Daemon and Katy. I loved having both their point of views. I love finally seeing inside Daemon's head. Daemon running off to save Katy is so reckless and shows the level of his love for her. Daedalus is a horrible group who tries to justify what they do by telling themselves it will help in the long run. I am sicken by Daedalus. Blake that SOB rat screwed them again and I hate him even more. Luc plays a big role in this novel also you meet a new character called Archer who I really like. The shock factor in this book is crazier then the first three books. My jaw dropped so many times. Just wait until you find out why this book is called Origin. Mind Officially Blown. You learn the truth about so many things in this book. There is so much I want to fangirl about but I don't want to ruin the book for you. This book has everything a great book should have heart-stopping action, romance to die for, evil hate worthy bad guys, secondary characters you love so much you want them to get their own stories, and out of this world writing. This was the most shocking and surprising book in the series so far by a long shot. I was so sucked in by this book at moments the house could have been burning down and I wouldn't have noticed. Seriously everyone who loves Young Adult Paranormal needs to read this series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5(CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS!!!)Ahhhhhhh! I can't even tell you how hard it was to wait for this book to come out, but if you've read the rest of the series I'm sure you know exactly what it was like. I literally woke up on the 27th, got on my computer and downloaded this Kindle book. I would have devoured it in one sitting if it wasn't for the fact that I had to go to work =P so it took me longer to get through than I would have liked.Unlike the rest of the books which were told from Katys perspective, this one was told using dual points-of-view since Daemon and Katy are separated for a decent chunk of it. I really loved getting both POVs; it made me love Daemon just that much more. We are introduced to some new characters, Archer, being the main addition. I'm curious to hear how others felt about him?? I liked him from the first moment he and Katy met. I just knew he was gonna end up helping them out. Even though Daemon & Katy still don't trust him, I really think he's one of the good guys. At least I hope he is! I want him and Dee to get together =)The pacing of this one was SO much better than the last, it starts right in the thick of things and there was never a dull moment. The 400 pages flew by because it was one thing after another right until the very end. After that horrible cliffhanger that was book three, I kept waiting for things to go bad in the last few chapters, dread in my stomach waiting for it to come, but I'm happy no I'm THRILLED to report the ending this time around was not a cliffhanger. I repeat NOT A CLIFFHANGER. I don't feel the need to hunt Jennifer down and force her to tell me what happens next like I did last time around. No, this time, I am content in waiting.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I think...I think that I am in LOVE with this author. I have never been more thrilled to run to the store and pick up a book only to thrust the keys at my husband, tell him to drive so I can sit in the passenger seat and read.Plot: First off, if you have not read this series, stop reading this and go get the books. Seriously, GO! I can not begin to explain how good these books are. There is something about the books that makes you fall in love with them. It's the characters, the plot, the elements all nicely tied together to bring the reader an epic story. This plot follows along with the last book left off. Daemon is putting everything he knows aside to save Katy. He will not let anyone, ANYONE stand in his way to save the one that he loves. My goodness....I want to say more but ahhh crapola it's good. Really, really good.Love: If you read this series, then you know by now how this love has come to grow. Daemon and Katy started off rocky but slowly they fell in love. At first they were all like, "ROAR!" in each other faces, then they became friends. The best part of this relationship is witnessing the growth over the span of the books. There was no insta-love but two flawed characters coming together. They fought, snapped at each other and then began to realize they are much more similar then they thought. And in this book, their love is tested and is epic. This is it. This is the moment it all comes down to. Deamon and Katy together 4+EVA!Ending: Umm...WOW. Someone is in trouble. When I read the final chapter, my eyes widen. I just can't even begin think where it could go now. Well, I could think of plenty of things, but it only makes me anxious at the possibilities of what will happen next.A fantastic story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, Origin is crazy good. It's one of those stories that will keep your mind racing for days. Completely satisfying, Origin leaves the reader breathless.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5oh my... such a cliff hanger. So good. I'm kind of freaking out.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love everything that she writes, and Origin was no exception. I loved being back with Katy and Daemon, in their heads, in their world, and wrapped up in their steamy and devoted relationships. Though it was hard because for part of this one, they are separated. Katy sees and endures some pretty horrific things while captured, and shocking truths about the world she thought she understood. There are some very touching moments, some hot ones between the two, some very intriguing new characters, surprising twists in the plot, and of course some action. There is the usual snark thrown in and I really can't say a lot without spoilers, but if you haven't started this series, I would get on it pronto. I didn't think I would like an alien story but I have fallen head over heels for this world and these characters. The ending as usual left me open mouthed and wishing that I had Jennifer's computer so I could read the next book NOW, because I have to know more. Bottom Line: Another work of genius from Jennifer.
