About this audiobook

The first novel in a dark romance duet from the New York Times bestselling author of Hundreds (The Dollar Series).

She is a woman divided. Her past, present, and future are as twisted as the lies she's lived for the past eight years. Desperate to get the truth, she must turn to the one man who may also be her greatest enemy . . .

He is the president of Pure Corruption MC. A heartless biker and retribution-deliverer. He accepts no rules, obeys no one, and lives only to reap revenge on those who wronged him. And now he has stolen her, body and soul.

Can a woman plagued by mystery fall in love with the man who refuses to face the truth? And can a man drenched in darkness forgo his quest for vengeance-and finally find redemption?

RUIN & RULE is a full-length book at 436 pages and ends on a cliffhanger. Cleo and Kill's story continues in SIN & SUFFER.

I was excited to receive an arc to review as I just love Pepper's work.

From page one I was hooked, this is the type of book that you just have to read right until the end.

We meet a young woman, who doesn't know her name, her past, her present. Thrown into a horrific situation she is searching for answers as to who she is. Trying to force memories through, but they come intermittently, not in the correct order. She meets Arthur Kill Killian the MC president and there is a familiarity about him.

Arthur Kill Killian is the president of the Pure Corruption MC, he is has issues of his own that he refuses to share, hell bent on revenge and making sure that those that crossed him and betrayed him pay the ultimate price.
He see's the young woman and thinks he has seen a ghost, but refuses to believe anything that she says.

This book has everything you need in a read, mystery, suspense, violence, and some seriously hot scenes. It will keep you guessing every page you read.

I was hooked, line and sinker and I cannot wait for book 2, I need to know more. This is a must read.

Sizzling, page turning, hot 5 star read

This book. This book. Wow! Talk about a complete mind screw! Holy wow! Angst. Betrayal. Confusion. Plot twists. Hate. Love. Lust. This book is a train wreck and rollercoaster all in one!

I can't seem to wrap my head around this book. The lies, the secrets, the love and hate. The backstory. I knew that Pepper would throw me through a loop, as always... But as always, she had my head spinning. I am not surprised she shocked me again. It's what she does. Shock and awe... Those of us who are masochists thrive for Pepper's books... We beg for more. We need more.

This book is full of twists, turns, love, hate, lust, angst, and lots and lots of holy s**t moments!!! If you are a Pepper fan, this is definitely going to be one of your favorites. She has really out-done herself in this one. Bring on Sin & Suffer!

4.5 "Tell Me the Truth" Stars! Wow, what an intense read! Defying classification, Ruin & Rule doesn't read like your typical MC romance, or, with the exception of a few minor elements, your typical dark romance either. Instead Pepper Winters has created her own unique hybrid with plenty of suspense, heat and mystery. Please note though, that while not as dark as Ms. Winters' Monsters in the Dark Series, there are definitely darker aspects of this story that will make you cringe, and cause you to question whether you could ever fully like the characters or truly believe that a story like this could ever really happen. It is this visceral reaction, however, that, for me, makes it stand out and makes it worth the read. However, be prepared, if you want to learn the entire story, you will need to commit to reading Book 2 in the Pure Corruption Series, Sin & Suffer, which is not scheduled to be released until early 2016.As a large part of the intensity of this read is the slow uncovering of the background that has led the characters to the untenable position they are in today, I will be brief in my background. Suffice it to say, that the heroine is a woman torn between discovering her past and reclaiming her future. Suffering from amnesia, and waking up in the custody of the Pure Corruption MC, the heroine's sole chance at taking control over her life again is at the hands of her kidnappers, and especially one man--Arthur "Kill" Killian, the president of Pure Corruption MC--who could just as easily sign over her fate to ruin. The scarier his actions become, however, the more she can't help the niggle of a feeling that convinces her that she knows and can trust him. But could entrusting her fate to a man hell bent on revenge and vengeance ever result in happiness? Lovers of darker romances with suspenseful arcs will not want to miss Ruin & Rule. But please be aware, that as is frequently the case with dark romance heroes, not all of the heroes actions will be to your liking, even if they do magnify your reaction to this unique MC romance. Now I can't wait to see how this story continues in Sin & Suffer!Source: Review copy provided in exchange for an honest review.

Florida The lies she has lived for the past eight years prove to be as twisted as her past, present and future. She is also a woman divided. She is desperate for the truth which means she must turn to the one man that might also be her greatest enemy. He is a heartless biker, retribution-deliverer and the president of Pure Corruption MC. He lives only to reap revenge on those that have wronged him. He obeys no one and accepts no rules. Now he has stolen her body and soul. She is plagued by mystery and must decide if she can fall in love with a man that refuses to face the truth. He needs to figure out if he can finally find redemption even though he is drenched in darkness and if he can forgo his quest for vengeance. This is a book that stays with you long after the last page is read. It will also have readers wanting the next book to see what will happen next. This one ends with a cliffhanger but it works very well with the story. The reader will be sucked into the story and lives of the characters as they try to figure out just what is going on. With each clue that is revealed it makes for a story that drenched in suspense. It is full of action and suspense that doesn’t stop at all. This is definitely a different story that makes for an original read. This is definitely one to check out.

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie TalesQuick & Dirty: Forgotten memories, unforgettable love, can they overcome the past and face the future or will the past destroy them?Opening Sentence: “We met in a nightmare.”The Review:So the book opens up with our heroine kidnapped and in the middle of a MC turf war, but it gets worse. She can’t remember who she is, but the moment he takes off her blindfold she knows she knows him and loved him in another lifetime. Kill sees that she looks like his lost love, but refuses to believe that it’s true and he is highly suspicious of the amnesia she claims to have. At the moment they are caught in the troubles of today, but soon it seems that the past will devour them.Kill or Arthur Killian is the President of the Pure Corruption MC club, and he is on a mission and backed by Wall Street to make some major changes to the club. He had five woman kidnapped and ready to sell, and really doesn’t pause when a sixth woman shows up. As she begins to remember things, he pushes her away because he refuses to believe she might be the girl he lost so long ago. When she remembers her name is Sarah, Kill is sure she is lying about the rest and takes her to be sold until he sees the As You Wish tattoo and knows that she is really his Cleo, the girl he thought died when she was 14, and the girl he went to jail for murdering. As all the pieces begin to fall together, Cleo/Sarah knows Kill is hiding things from her, and she knows that she needs to remember what happened during that fire all of those years ago.I loved this book, and didn’t like some things, so clearly I was a tad torn. I am not a fan of violence towards women and this book featured it. I am also not a fan of the slave trade and I think that abuse/slave trade issues are serious issues that should be treated as such. I have read romance novels that contain them and are done well, I am not sure this one falls into that category. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the initial story. I know that she has/had amnesia and felt a major connection to him, and was beginning to remember who he was and who she was. But for me it was just really unbelievable that a woman who was kidnapped, can’t remember how she would just be utterly calm in slave trade situation and that she would just want to have sex with a total stranger. However, that being said, as the story progressed I was totally sucked in the mystery of who she was and when she finally remembered I thought half the battle was over. Except that cliffhanger…..ahhh the book ended with a cliffhanger that had to do with the night she was burned. She finally was remembering what happened and now you have to wait until book 2 to know that, and I’m dying to read book 2. Seriously, stick with the book past the first couple of chapters and it is so worth it!!! You get to understand how deep their connection is, and how innocent the love they have for each other is until it all explodes in their faces. At first the love scenes really didn’t do much, but in the second half of the book once you know the connection and the characters it all is just hot hot hot…I really want to say so much more, but I seriously hate spoiling things and some of the stuff that happens will spoil the book and I just can’t do that. So if seriously kick butt MC’s are your thing this book is for you!Notable Scene:“Death was something I’d fought against on a daily basis, but now I was weaponless.”“The floodgates of my tears and fears and strain of the past hours faltered, spewing forth everything in a loud wail.”“He hated me because I represented hope.”“A man who practically raised me killed my parents out of greed.”“I’d been ruined, but now I would rule.”FTC Advisory: Forever/Hachette provided me with a copy of Ruin & Rule. No goody bags, sponsorships, “material connections,” or bribes were exchanged for my review.

The main character wakes up following a nightmare not knowing anything about herself or her life, including her name. She does know that she has been kidnapped and is about to be sold by the motorcycle club that is holding her captive. The president of the club not only seems familiar, but there seems to be a connection between them. However, he seems to only feel contempt for her, accusing her of trying to impersonate the love of his life who is dead.
This story is less about an MC and more about a woman trying to find her memories of the past. The idea that the main character doesn't know about her past is repeated to the point that it becomes annoying. In addition, we are told over and over how the president of the MC is trying to get vengeance on those who have done him wrong. This book is long with almost no action and characters who constantly talk about their problems. The story could have been much shorter and accomplished the same result. The mystery of who the girl is and what her connection is to the president of the motorcycle club is the only redeeming element of this story.
