Found this while wandering around the Hershey Library. It looked interesting, and as an avid walker it was intriguing.

    ....oi vey.

This is just a bunch of New Age gobbledygook packaged with pictures and stuff and a way to try and self-promote itself. Remember Walt Whitman? Remember how great Walt Whitman was? Here's some stickers about Walt Whitman that also promotes this book your reading... go stick them everywhere so people will also buy this book! Do half the promoting for me!

Nothing inspirational, nothing interesting, and nothing exciting in this. Blah.

Keri Smith talks about the secret society of Wanderers, people who spend some time rejecting the modern notions of being connected by false technology, and decide to wander into nature or around cities to connect to the world around them. There are rules to the wander society and precepts to understand. I found this book to be a source of ideas to disconnect from technology and how to better be inspired by nature and gain different ways to be more creative in everyday life.

DNF - I read the first half and skimmed the second. This book is all new-agey and *NOT* for Christians. I totally agree with her goal just not how she advises getting there. She has no God in her life so goes into all sorts of "spiritual" nonsense to make up for the lack of the Holy Spirit in her life. Walk, ramble, wander but keep your goal on God and worship Jesus (not the objects and people the author asks you to revere) and you'll get the exact results the author is *trying* to get without Him. I recommend studying Charlotte Mason. I followed her ideas and went on "Nature Walks" with both my kids: journalling, notebooking, creating from nature or just plain scratch, and making art. They are grown but I am still at it!
