      I enjoyed the novel, but I'm glad the author acknowledged many trans people don't have as supportive a family as Amanda has.

      This book was amazing on so many levels. I never really truly had a knowledge of what it was for trans people. And this book — knowing it’s written by a trans woman was an opportunity to learn with full respect and have the right answers.

      The writing was amazing, the characters are so sweet and easy to get attached to. I love how close to reality it still was and talked about how I’m danger trans people are in our society. I was shocked about the outcome of some characters! I really didn’t see it coming until the very last minute.

      And of course, the ending was amazing and so far from cliché and I love this! I am so picky on endings (which is tiring sometimes) but every now and then, I’ll read a book like If I Was Your Girl and be mesmerized and speechless by the ending so much that is was firing perfectly and just amazingly done.

      I will definitely recommend this book!

      I really loved this book, the only part I didn't like was (SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) who was chosen to out her. I have very mixed feelings as a bi person.
