About this audiobook

Edgar, Agatha, and Macavity Award-winning author Jan Burke's Flight shifts the focus away from beloved character Irene Kelly, instead focusing on Irene's detective husband, Frank Harriman. Ten years ago mobster Whitey Dane was facing a murder rap. Then the evidence vanished, along with a cop who seemed to be dirty. Now, the missing cop's bones have been discovered in the wreckage of a plane crash, and Frank's investigation sends him down a terrifying path.

I have to say good things about a book that keeps me guessing until the criminal is revealed and I found this to be a satisfying mystery. The detail was exceptional and complex while not giving away the culprit. I would have preferred a quicker pace throughout the story but was pleased with the pace of the ending.

Definetely a book worth reading! This was the first book I've read by Jan Burke, and I must say it was so great that I had a hard time putting it down! To say the least that she is a terrific writer. When you read the book, the storyline makes you feel as if the characters are real and you can picture yourself as part of the storyline. I will definetely be reading more books by Jan Burke, she can count me as one of her fans!

I am not a Jan Burke reader, so I was not already familiar with the Irene Kelly series. This book actually focuses on her husband, police detective Frank Harriman. The story is very complex. Probably much more complex than it needs to be. I found it difficult to believe that an entire police department would have automatically assumed that one of their most successful detectives had gone bad and murdered someone for money. It was absorbing, but I'll have to read another of her books to decide if she'll become a favorite.
