      This is a very short story about a woman sheriff who is pregnant with her third child, running for reelection, and about to see her eldest child off to college. She gets a call that her parents have been in a serious accident; their RV was run off the road when someone shot a gun from the overpass. She spends her time investigating and finding the person responsible.

      Good little story about the link between two random acts; one of murder and one of kindness.

      A pregnant Joanna Brady has a lot on her plate: a daughter heading off to college, a reelection campaign, and all the usual day-to-day headaches that come with being Cochise County Sheriff. Then a senseless tragedy strikes and throws everything else to the curb. In typical J.A. Jance style, "Random Acts" is the perfect setup for the next Brady mystery, Downfall.
