About this audiobook

The serial killer known as the Player is taunting Jess Harris with pictures of his victims. He has dragged her into another of his deadly games. But Jess has a job to do in Birmingham. She's a deputy chief and her unit's latest case involves one of Birmingham's oldest and coldest cases.

For two decades the Man in the Moon stole a little girl each year on the night of a harvest moon. Then suddenly he stopped, and the case was never solved. Now, thirteen years after the last child was taken, Jess receives a gift from the Man in the Moon-the remains of his final victim. When the bones and the terrifying messages written to Jess just keep coming, she and her team must find the Man in the Moon before he takes another victim.

As Jess closes her case, one last message from the Player reminds her that the game is far from over.

Thank you to Debra Webb for continuing this series! I loved Ruthless, the latest in the Faces of Evil series. Jess, our heroine in this thriller, is hunting down the Man in the Moon - a killer and kidnapper of children. Creepy and a fast read. If you love Mary Higgins Clark or Wendi Corsi Staub, you should pick up these books.

A long-dormant Birmingham serial killer, the Man in the Moon, has started sending the bones of his previous victims to Jess. And her nemesis, Eric Spears has returned to the United States and is taunting Jess with pictures and presents. Obviously, he has help. So Jess needs to find the Man in the Moon before he starts killing again and find Spears or his minions. And one of the departments detectives is still missing. Things are very busy at the BPD.I think this might be the best book in the series so far. Jess is still stubborn but she has toned down a bit. The personal relationships in the book are proceeding nicely. The hunt for the Man in the Moon was exciting. And the threat of Spears is creepier than ever. I am excited for the next book in the series.
