      After Book 1 hooked me, I was eager to dive into Book 2. The story as a whole is compelling, but the stars are Dug, Lowa, and Spring. Without giving away spoilers, we are partly rewarded for cheering on our heroes, but as with any battle-centric yarn, tragedy ultimately befalls. I'm eager to begin Book 3, but with sadness rather than exuberance.

      Poor Doug. Best character in the story. Tough life ended with a great reunion
