- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It's not a bad story. The mothers are insufferable though. The author tries too hard to make them sound "casual" . It often reads like a queer story aimed at straight people. And also TW - for anyone who has had a challenging time being accepted by close family members. I don't think it handled that story telling aspect of it very well. The emotions and actions didn't. Really align, in that way, the story was not consistent. But it was a plausible story line and an enjoyable one to follow. I would recommend it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Both Nick and Bryce we very sympathetic a d relatable characters but I feel like the author belaboured the fact that they were two men too much. We already knew they were teo.men because it is decidedly an MM Romance. The other thing is they really relied upon the opinions of others and that os not great family or not. The good thing that at least the opinions of others caused challenges between them but did not cause an actual rift between our heroes.
Homophobia aside Nick's mum was way too old fashioned for the 21st century women and men's gender roles in this day and age?
It was a good story but I cant say it was RH's best work yet. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I’ve never read a “gay for you” book but I actually enjoyed this one a lot. The characters are very likable and the conflict is unfortunately too true. Sex scenes were very hot. Feel good book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Sometimes you find yourself choosing a road, do you hop on the highway and breeze to your destination or do you take the scenic route and embrace the adventure. Brice & Nick started as neighbors, they become fast friends. Both seem oblivious to the growing attraction but when they acknowledge that there’s something deeper than friendship, they don’t fight it. They aren’t afraid to talk or ask questions. It’s not all smooth sailing, they are open and protective and that’s what counts the most.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I've been meaning to read this book for a while. At first, I was a little apprehensive, this is a book that has a lot of positive reviews, but I was afraid it was going to let me down. GFY books are usually not my favorite romance trope, but I’m willing to try almost any book. And I’m so glad that I did. This was a beautiful story of two men who find love with each other. Yes there’s some angst, but overall, the angst factor in this book is low and there’s no doubt that Nick and Bryce belong together. I enjoyed the how Nick and Bryce’s relationship developed and grew – it was beautiful, tender, and so strong. It made my heart feel warm, and that, more than anything, made this book a success for me.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I think I would have enjoyed reading this more. The writing was decent, I liked that characters. A little too much resolving issues through sex for me but that’s a personal preference. I was not a fan of the narration. The female characters were not good and sounded like they were all children or grannies. Overall the cadence was very 1930s noir which was weird.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely fantastic “learning together” story. Riley Hart at their best!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent book. I love it. A must read. Page turner
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Low angst. Mature characters you want to love. Great listen.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Beautiful story. I love both of the main characters. Good job
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The sex scenes were fun, but the dynamics between these two guys is so fucked up. Super possessive and codependent. Not a fan of that at all. Very unsexy. It would have been better if the characters had worked through that and grown or learned something.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's not a real long story, but it's a story that has an interesting, though really not so unusual, twist. Two men who always considered themselves straight, falling for each other. Yes, it does sound kind of weird but deep down they eventually decide that love is love and anyone can find their soulmate whether they call themselves gay or straight. It didn't happen overnight, and they did put a lot of thought into it and tried to weigh all the pros and cons. The angst of whom to tell and the worrying of family and friends' reaction rang true to reality. I remember when our son told us he was gay. He was 15 and was so sure his father was going to have a cow. Instead, my wonderful husband listened to his son's stumbling declaration...put down the newspaper...looked his son in the eye and said "okay...don't forget to take out the trash before you go to school." I loved how most of the story consisted of Nick and Bryce actually falling in love.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I am not going to make you read thru to find this part out: I LOVED this book. It came recommended by a friend that was pretty enthusiastic. I've got to say she did not steer me wrong. There isn't anything different or intriguing about the storyline. It is a very typical romance HEA. So, why am I so over the top in love with this book? It's the writing and the journey you get to experience with Nick and Bryce.
Nick and Bryce meet, become best friends, and slowly realize they have deeper feelings than just friendship. Both Nick and Bryce have issues that hinder their ability to trust and commit. But, the fact they are both straight moving to a same gender relationship isn't the core conflict. Yes, there are issues with acceptance but Ms. Hart doesn't spend all the energy not that typical angsty storyline. I could connect with both Nick and Bryce's dilemmas they moved forward. I could spend time summarizing the story, but I don't want to spoil any part of the read. Just pick this book up. I will say one of my favorite parts was how the author had the men deal with one minor conflict. Just like men: "I'm sorry." "I know." I love you." "I know that, too."
If you are looking for a HEA romantic read, this story is for you. It's got everything you want. Sweetness, some sadness, funny lines and some very steamy scenes. Thank Riley Hart for such a fantastic novel! - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/53.5 stars
I thought this book was extremely hot and sweet. I liked it a lot, but I wasn't in love with it like most seem to be. It didn't get to me emotionally. I admit that I had several real world problems on my mind while reading so it could be a case of the story catching me at the wrong time. This would be a good book for those who haven't read M/M and would like to try it. It's the story of two men being attracted to another man for the first time (a GFY twofer), and it follows them through their learning of themselves and each other.
