About this audiobook

Shy, skittish Rose Christner is more comfortable tending to the beehives on the family farm and keeping her aunt's unruly cats in line than attending social gatherings with the rest of the die youngie. A childhood trauma and secret shame keep her heart under lock and key, and Rose just cannot accept the sweet attention she's receiving from a handsome neighbor. But the more she shies away from Josiah Yoder, the more their families sneakily plot to bring them together. When a vandal who's been plaguing the Honeybee Farm starts targeting Rose, Josiah's steadfast protection-and patience-just may lead her into his waiting arms.

What a fantastic finish as a great series that just got better with each successive book. This wrap-up centers on Rose and explains much of what had only been previously alluded to. Rose’s older sisters had always protected her from the harsh realities of life. This task only got harder when their home and honey business became the target of vandals. Readers find out why Rose was so timid and fearful. Rose shows much character growth and development, and her trust in a forgiving God manifests in her and her own capabilities finally shine. Readers of Christian fiction have come to expect author Jennifer Beckstrand to deliver a good story with great characters in a Christian setting, likely with a dose of humor thrown in, and she certainly has done that with this series. Highly recommended.

Like a Bee to Honey by Jennifer Beckstrand is the third and final book in The Honeybee Sisters series. Rose Christner is twenty years old and extremely shy. Rose has always relied on her sisters to take care of her and protect her. Her sisters, Lily and Poppy are now engaged and will not be around much longer. There is something from her past that is holding Rose back. Why is Rose so scared of life and what is holding her back? Josiah Yoder has been in love with Rose for years. Josiah wishes to court Rose, but he knows that he cannot rush with her. So Josiah is taking the slow and steady approach at gaining her trust. The mischief maker is escalating, and they can no longer keep it from Rose. Especially when it seems that the troublemaker is targeting her. Rose is afraid (always fearful), but she has to learn to stand up for herself. Rose needs to confront what is holding her back so she can have a future. Will Rose be able to confront her fears? You will have to read Like a Bee to Honey to find out!Like a Bee to Honey picks up where A Bee in Her Bonnet ended. Like a Bee to Honey is really not a stand-alone book. You need to read the other novels in the series in order to understand everything that is happening (especially with the trouble maker). I have to admit that Rose got on my nerves. I can understand about being shy (I have always been very shy especially when I was younger), but Rose took it to a new level (and she cried quite a bit). Like a Bee to Honey is well-written and engaging. I wanted to see how the book would end. Aunt Bitsy is my favorite character. She is a unique individual (I liked how she expressed her individualism with the temporary tattoos and hair color). There is light humor in the book that I enjoyed and the novel has a good message (forgiveness is the main lesson). I liked seeing how the characters changed over the course of the series (well, there is on character that refuses to change—I bet you can guess which one). I was glad that we finally get answers about the troublemaker. The ending was just wonderful and it made me smile. I give Like a Bee to Honey 4 out of 5 stars (I liked it). I received a complimentary copy of the novel in exchange for an honest evaluation. The comments and opinions expressed are strictly my own.

This is the third and final book in the Honeybee Sister’s Series, and the book wraps up beautifully. We learn some of the reasons why Rose is so shy and the hurts she holds herself responsible for.We have already read Lily’s and Poppy’s story of their romances, and hope that Rose will finally have a chance to let go of the pain that she holds in her heart.Aunt Bitsy is still keeping a strong hold on her girls, and some of those boys whom you are not to feed, get the stink eye from her! While the family is still being terrorized by someone, we hope that the culprit will finally be found out before someone is hurt, who would do all of these horrible things to them, and why?I really hate to let these people go, and yet it seem great to finally find out the answers, don’t let this great read pass you by. Also be ready for some great laugh out loud chuckles.I received this book through Zebra Publishing and was not required to give a positive review.
